And for the fact that I will be taking my place in the marital bed rather than being banished to the couch as is usual procedure for an alcohol-ridden match 8-)
You just be careful, Griff – or there will be another book
…. and I’ve never heard of a shortage of salt being used as an excuse for that!!!
Just sitting in my nice warm office reshaping paperclips and trying not to do a tap of work, when at 15.30 I received a text message from one of my Bolton mates who was going to be sitting in the away end tonight.‘Don’t know if you’ve heard mate, but looks like the game might be off tonight.’
Bar the four separate threads on this site, numerous posts on other threads, the homepage story, the Club’s official statement, the Sky Sports News story, a phone call from my wife, the phone call from my dad, the email received from the club to my personal email account, the email received from the club to my work account, the two messages received via Facebook, the dozen text messages received from other mates since midday, and the message received from an well-meaning Middlesbrough supporting client, I’ve heard nowt.
Should I ring the ticket office to find out if it’s off, or do I tell my Bolton mate to turn up at the ground and await further instruction? It is indeed a quandary.
If he supports Bolton then I think he should go along and see. You never know, it may have been misreported.
I must admit I’m not exactly heartbroken ;)
Looks like Everton are moving ahead of us and West Ham are ahead against Chelsea. :?
When someone posts a youtube clip I always like the “related vidoes”.
This one made me laugh:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=da0IHBMr_AY&feature=relatedthe statement he made later today (below) will definitely leave him looking sheepish if we sell him.
Like Bob saying he wouldn’t leave Swansea? ;)
This is who we need
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/tay … 420559.stmShould fit in well with lack of communication.
If only Hugo had studied that at the weekend!! :D
Fair enough – no problem.
But I think he is pressured, maybe as much by himself. We need to get behind him. I, maybe mistakenly, see more in him than say Aghahowa. I really believe, and again I may be wrong, that once he can score one then he will do OK.
OK – maybe never top scorer in Europe – but he will get a few. Enough even. And that will do me.
So, yes, he isn’t reading this board – but somehow, some way, he needs a goal. And we’ll forget the 21-22-23-24 or whatever games without.
Perhaps if people got off his back then maybe he’d do better.
Remember Bramble and N’zogbia at Newcastle?
I actually felt sorry for him with that miss tonight.
I’m going to stick my neck out here – he’ll be OK once he gets one. But people on here do him no good at all.
get real you fool – do you honestly think that scotland is low on confidence because people on here complain about him,
he has had an easy ride so farnot once at the dw stadium have i heard cheers when he goes off or boo’s when he is pants,
his real problem is he is low on skill or ability.[/quote]
Have your opinion as you wish – but never call me a fool.
.. double post

In white at home?
No – it’s Airdrie.
I need to get out more obviously.
Fully agree.
And we’ve done it for five seasons in a row.
There are a lot of people – now sadly gone – who, if you’d said to them “do you know one day we’ll be playing Manchester United and Liverpool and Arsenal in League games, and be way above Leeds and Nottingham Forest and Newcastle”, would have asked what we were drinking/smoking, chuckled, and said “gerron wi’ yer”.
And if you’d then told them that not only was it true, but that there were people who say they support Latics but were unhappy with how we were doing, would simply have shaken their heads.
A couple of things.
Team who score are wearing white with red diamond – not V, it goes onto the back.
Ballboy is leaping around like a thing demented, so scorers are home team.
Fans behind goal (to the right) – presumably the conceding fans – are silent. So away fans are to the right.
Best guess is this is Airdieonians old ground. Broomfield Park.
