      They played alright! A little bit wary of flooding in toto the box as usual but tons of chances created by Powell and Jacobs, a couple of good runs and balls in from Tunnicliffe, and Bogle was keen when he came on. The rot set in a lot sooner, and I blame the appointment of Joyce, which looked wrong from the off. But I still wouldn’t be too critical of the players, even the loan rangers.

      tbf murps they have played alright in loads of games this season,just not alright enough.No goals,no forwards,packed with defensive midfielders, bottom line is, we are shit and Barrow is out of his depth.

                Saying hello to Jeff Wright in the concourse. To the JCLs and those not old enough to remember. He was one of the most stylish players ever to play for Latics. Also probably the best passer of a football I can remember. Would be criticised these days for passing forward and sometimes passing long balls out wide or into the box. Class act and class lad.

                Jeff used to get loads of stick from fans for being shit,he was the Gomez of the 1970s team.

                He presented out player of the year trophies at St Judes Youth.

                        Im sick to the back teeth of Whelan’s penny pinching.

                              If Sharon or more likely Whelan says so and so plays then they play….as in the Stoke goalie against Rotherham.
