It’s been an incredible achievement getting this far when you consider the quality of our opponents we have beaten along the way, Win next Saturday and it surely has to be the greatest ever cup run by a third tier club to reach the semis.
Next week is down to the club and the local media to sell this game, to fire up peoples imagination we are after all just one game away from Wembley.

Our fanbase is the same as it was the last time we were in this league. You could give tickets away with packs of crisps and we will still get the same amount of fans.So lets just fleece the non ST holders that do come eh?…….Brilliant,

Who, in their right mind, agreed to letting a raft of Leeds fans into the Away corner of the West Stand? On a day when most latics fans (those who bothered to turn up anyway), were feeling down and out, why were the leeds fans allowed in the west stand and, at half time, were freely mixing with latics fans……..only for the good behaviour of latics fans, there could have been some very ugly scenes. For me, when your away stand is full………its full and that means no more tickets can be sold !!!!! Also, I and my family have, at the end of every season whether we are up or down…….always stayed at the end of the final game of the season to show our appreciation to the players, the manager & his backroom staff, players wives, children etc etc. Sorry!! today we just couldn’t do that!! perhaps if it had just been Dan Burn and a couple of others then yes but the majority of our players, backroom staff, management board should have let the fans parade round the pitch and they should have shown us their appreciation for putting up with such bad management decisions throughout this disastrous season. Some congratulations should perhaps go to Graeme Barrow ……the team have shown they can play better and today wasn’t too bad…..just the same shoddy mistakes and some players just not good enough. Come on Latics!! lets be professional and look forward to a good and enjoyable 2017/18 season.Shut up you tart.

They played alright! A little bit wary of flooding in toto the box as usual but tons of chances created by Powell and Jacobs, a couple of good runs and balls in from Tunnicliffe, and Bogle was keen when he came on. The rot set in a lot sooner, and I blame the appointment of Joyce, which looked wrong from the off. But I still wouldn’t be too critical of the players, even the loan rangers.tbf murps they have played alright in loads of games this season,just not alright enough.No goals,no forwards,packed with defensive midfielders, bottom line is, we are shit and Barrow is out of his depth.
