Cousin over from Perth at end of month. It would be good to have to go back with him to watch latics

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has been in touch with Héctor Rincón who is the agent of Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David De Gea about bringing the young talented shot stopper to the DW Stadium.
According to Rincón the Latics have made an offer to Atletico for the 20 year old keeper which was turned down but Martinez still wants to pursue the highly rated keeper who he sees as a long term addition to his squad.
Rincón also suggests that Manchester United are interested in the youngster after an enquiry from the club, speaking on the matter Rincón said: ‘A few Premier League clubs have been asking about De Gea. Especially Wigan, who made an an offer which Atletico turned down.
‘Roberto Martinez thinks De Gea is ready for the Premier League but Atletico have insisted they want De Gea to stay at Calderon. Manchester are interested too. I didn’t talk with (Sir Alex) Ferguson but an intermediary of Manchester confirmed there’s real interest in De Gea.’
20 year old De Gea is 6` 3″ and has represented Spain at under 17, under19 and under 21 levels, he is highly regarded with Latics boss Roberto Martinez sees the young Spaniard as Chris Kirklands understudy.
De Gea is nicknamed Van de Gea by his team-mates due to his similarities to Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin Van der Sar
The Latics were linked back in the summer with a move for the youngster
