On the topic of Jimmy…

I’m not saying for a second that we should sign him on the back of a funny advert, otherwise I’d want Alexander the meerkat, but it’s a mark of the mans character if nothing else.
Very true. I don’t think the dressing room will ever have the same feeling about it like it did when Bullard, Bainesy and Teale etc were here. Anyone remember the dressing room incident with Bullard and the washing basket? One of the major problems with a team full of different nationals
I went down today and there was me and 6 others buying for West Ham
“Latics are to put on free supporters coaches for the crunch clash with West Ham later this month to ensure a bumper travelling contingent.”
Quoted from the Wigan Evening Post. Although to ensure a bumper following i think they better make tickets free aswell. You know what wiganers can be like
Not a bad article. Specifically liked the part where he mentioned the play off final and how shops and bakerys had “come on gillingham” in their windows.
Maybe make some people (mainly the media) realise the struggle we have to attract support.
Hope your right, nice to be where the atmosphere is rather than sectioned off. I wouldnt mind the upper if quite a few turned up to pay on the day but i cant see it. Hope im wrong though :)People prefer paying on day as do i but av already got a ticket. Av u not noticed that when u can pay on day after tickets have sold out, it is hardly advertised. Ticket nly games put people off i think.
Yeah i’d imagine thats to stop too many turnin up. Fat chance of that in Wigan :P Hopefully a few will only decide tomorrow mornin with it being so close and so cheap. Hopefully turn up in numbers and get behind the boys :)
Oh im going no need to worry about that. Just wanna know if ill be sat with the rest of the wiganers or the 200 more who pay on the day in the upper :P
Don’t quote me on this but i think we got all the lower. That end holds bout 7000+ bolton won’t even fill the upper half.Think its shut off
Do we know whether its the remaining seats in the lower, or the upper thats pay on the day?
Mmmm babis yed and pea wet. Anyone else think that when reading the title? 8-)
But on topic, yeah looks like hes had some work done!
Yeah you can pay on the day :)
It says initial allocation of 1650, therefore im assuming if we sell those we get the upper like last year. However when i went to the ticket office before KO last night to get my dad and brother a ticket, i asked how many we’d sold and if were getting the upper if we sell out.
To which her reply was (without too much thought) “Sold around 700 and no you dont get the upper if they sell out”
I think she fed me a load of lies though. She was rather ditzy, i paid by card and she didnt give it me back! I had to ask for it
Me and my brother on the 10.28 :)
Because they have to play that flaming premiership music thingyThey HAVE to? Although i quite like the current entrance music, YAMS over it anyday :(
When was the last time you heard “You Are My Sunshine”?
How on earth did that just disappear?
Heard it yesterday (sun) but no fooker joins in
No heart on the pitch no heart in the stands
I always try and get it going but it would seem the ‘new’ fans dont know it very well :? Such a shame. Why did they ever stop it being played as the players came out?
Yes but out of the missing 7,000, 5,000 would come from Winstanley and Skem with red shirts ;)
