Can anyone going to the DW to purchase tickets for the Maribor game who is travelling to Maribor on the direct day return flight, tell them when asked, that you are on the Vital/Sport Options flight.
I have already talked to the ticket office and they know that the flight details cannot be confirmed until the Civil Airport Authority gives us our flight slots.
As soon as I have the flight times and details I will pass them on to the ticket office.
14 October 2013 at 10:48 pm #122198Cheers for that LMB…must admit I hadn’t noticed the club announcement on tickets.
I’ll print off the email from Vital just in case ;)
15 October 2013 at 2:38 pm #122217All gone.
Mates been on phone for them since before 9. Now on a waiting list. Be plenty over there bowt tickets I would imagine.
15 October 2013 at 2:53 pm #122219Was there at 4.00 a.m. this morning. Number 6 in the queue :) Just as I was going to the window to get the tickets at just after 9.00a.m. My mate rang me to say he had rung up and booked them
15 October 2013 at 2:55 pm #122221I am gutted
Can’t work
gonna need some confirmation soon about tickets
15 October 2013 at 3:26 pm #122223FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
15 October 2013 at 3:31 pm #122224it’s a funny one.
People paying the next installment of any travel plans without tickets.
Travelling wihout tickets may become a no no.
Travelling without tickets and hovering around the townI wonder how many with tickets hadn’t arranged any travel before getting them
15 October 2013 at 3:57 pm #122227Was on phone from 9am .Was told by the fella at ticketmaster they where sold out . Angry phone call to club to be told they wasn’t sold out 3 purchased . Happy days
15 October 2013 at 4:22 pm #122228Sounds like a right fcking polava.
My mate was on the phone at 9, 12th in the queue and 30min later was 11th. He got syphoned off to Ticketmaster so went down to the ground and got there at 10.15 literally at the window as they sold out.
He heard though that some folks who were 37th in the queue got through fast and got tickets; he also heard that some folks pressed a different option on the phone menu and still got through to the ticket office.
The travel details thing was also farce. People rocking up with confirmed flights but no hotels getting turned away, yet anyone just mentioning Vital Latics got served no questions asked.
And then after the tickets sell out – lo and behold – 150 VIP tickets miraculously appear for c£500. Does that mean we actually only sold 500 or we actually received c800 and not the much lauded, record breaking sell out 642??
15 October 2013 at 4:30 pm #122230Yep, it appears the Tickmaster fiasco is what has done us. Got put through twice to there to be told not on sale yet. Get through to ticket office and all gone.
Really is a poor show that you can’t just queue up on the phone and get through to the ticket office. To have 2 phone lines and one of them be a red herring is wrong.
In fact it would be fairer if they said no queueing at the ground phone sales from 9am only or vice versa.
15 October 2013 at 5:07 pm #122233I think the 150 VIP tickets move announced by Latics when the others have sold out & the club knows people are scrambling for tickets is a disgraceful piece of exploitation
If there were 150 VIP tickets available on this package then it should have been announced prior to the rest of em going on sale15 October 2013 at 5:12 pm #122234Yes its a fiasco.
Couldn’t get a ticket this morning at ticket office.
Flight booked (deposit only paid) with Vital in September, but no ticket
We were told recently we would get all the tickets we needed, anyone who booked a flight after hearing this is entitled to feel they’ve been conned. By whom I’m not sure….
15 October 2013 at 5:22 pm #122235Totally agree. Couldn’t go to ticket office or hang about on phone as at work, my daughter went for me 1st thing but sold out when got to window. Flight deposit paid with vital.will have to wait to see if any more tickets appear or try to sell my seat. Totally gutted
15 October 2013 at 5:50 pm #122236Agree its been handled very badly , again .
However , more tickets are being negotiated and will eventually go on sale to anyone needing one
maribor wont want empty seats and the police wont want supporters travelling without tickets .
The plus point here is its still a way off with plenty of time to accommodate everybody’s needs

Judging from how their ground looked against Rubin Kazan and where the empty bits were, I would imagine that if home demand for tickets doesn’t increase substantially then it wouldn’t appear to be any problem to give Latics an entire end without pissing any home supporters off.
It does however still leave people hanging about for god knows how long with people chasing em for the remainder of their package costs whilst they still don ‘t know for sure whether they will get a match ticket.
That’s not Latics fault though & it’s only right that Maribor see if they can sell em to home supporters first. That will probably also be why the tickets have gone on sale so early.Agreed though that Latics seem to have made a right mess of selling the tickets. & I still think the VIP ticket release timed when it was stinks
