The club never said their wouldn’t be a problem with tickets.
That’s what we need to get to the bottom of….
Did folk not realise we were only getting just over 600? Could have sworn that was common knowledge weeks ago. Why the complaining? I got up at 5 this morning and got in the queue. The same happens at ticketed events round the country when supply and demand cant meet. Do you complain in the January sales when the bargains go?Everyone organising travel knew the crack. Its first come first served. 450 were on sale this morning. You cant trust phonelines so get in the queue like most of us did (or get someone else to do it). Am sure the club will get more as Maribor will be out the competition in a month.
My instinct was to tell yourself to go fcuk yourself Roy for that smug response, but I’m a better man than that snd I know from your other posts on this site that you are too, so all I’m going to say is you need to be more empathetic to your fellow fans.
Compared to the cost of Kazan trip this appears to be CHEAP… Could this be due to the fact that Vital Latics are doing a trip at a competitive price? I wonder if Vital hadn’t have orgainised a trip what the cost would have been? and what’s the betting as soon all the tickets for this trip have been sold more tickets will be made available B) Why didn’t the club advertise this trip prior to the tickets being made available? But to advertise it an hour after selling all the initial allocation, and with comments made by people associated with the club that we may not get anymore, smells of scare tactics in order to sell their own trip.
Lets wait and see ;)The Club could very well have waited until their normal time for issuing tickets, that could have been the last week in November.By that time 100’s more could have booked travel thinking there would be no problems with tickets. By doing this now they will hopefully stop people booking a trip without a chance of getting a ticket.
Not every club has a 1,500 allocation of away tickets, it was mentioned many times on here that there were only 600 tickets.
Be happy for the ones that did get one and if you booked travel without knowing you had a ticket, who is to blame – The Club????
Big thumbs up for them thinking of the fans here, they have probably saved a lot of people a lot of money.
Come on Jay – I know you have to tow a bit of a party line but please tell me there is at least a hint of sarcasm in your post? This very site has announced travel offers well in advance of today and the the fact that flight prices were going up.
I am mildly amused at some of the comments from those with tickets and some with a vested interest in being close to the club. Almost deserting or treating fellow supporters with some contempt. A far cry from games like Shrewsbury away with Peter skipper et al.
The question now is, will all the folk who have booked travel already, now cancel thus leaving certain trips in jeapordy or will those without tickets still travel and create potential problems for the authorities?
It could even be a ‘ we don’t give a fck’ after some of the things I’ve read today.

The silence of certain parties hasn’t gone un-noticed either…who aren’t usually short of words…
“You can’t travel without a ticket” is the standard order from the authorities to us fans. No one should travel there without a ticket…you’ll end up in the slammer :woohoo:
Maybe the club could approach the Maribor club and try to get some more tickets to meet the demand as I bet the game won’t be a sellout.Id email the chief executive and ask him to approach the club to see if there is any more tickets because it seems a shame people will miss out.

Just cant understand why folk who were commited to paying to travel didnt pull out all the stops with so few tickets being available. If folk couldnt get there i didnt see anyone asking for help on here. One mon arrived at 1.30 in the morning apparently. I know not everyone can show that level of commitment but not sure how else the club can sort out distribution?
Surely there must be some Slovenian speaking people in Wigan (Hitchens?)? Maybe someone can ask one of them to ring the Maribor club direct and ask THEM what the situation regarding obtaining extra tickets is??? Just a thought :)

There were no doubt plenty of fans that queued and showed ‘commitment’ that didn’t get one. I think one of the concerns amongst fans is that the club only announced THEIR trip after they had sold the allocation, which left fans who wanted to go apprehensive of getting a ticket. “We have sold out and We may not get anymore. BUT come on our trip and be guaranteed a ticket…The whole charade smells of exploitation.
It’s left a very bitter taste.
The club has lost a lot of kudos over this, especially combined with the debacle of the missed ferries to Belgium :S
Ok it’s our first (and probably only :( ) trip into Europe. But this could and should have been handled much better.
Yes we got a sh!te draw…Kazan is off limits to 99.9% of us…

Why did you ask for my bank account details for a “refund”?I paid by credit card ;)
You paid sport options a deposit by credit card, I am not sport options and have no connection with them whatsoever other than having to use an ATOL bonded travel agent to sell this flight package, as I said to you I will refund your deposit personally seeing you are that unhappy, I cannot be fairer than that, it will leave you plenty time to book on the official club VIP trip.
