Lets get it right , 641 tickets to start with ?. And it’s not in the clubs hands , feckkin wouldnt be

What I would love to know is , after the friends of friends, VIP’s and anyone else who got there’s put aside for a package trip how many tickets actually went on sale at 9 this morn to season ticket holders ? . I would say about 50 if your lucky and those would have been spoken for !.

Oh and Birmingham only got 600 tickets for the away leg 2 yr ago. They asked for treble that and were refused so dont hold your breath.

as per usual fans come 2nd.

we’ve got to have been the most unluckiest team ever when the draw was done ,,,

a team with a no ground so play it somewere else and it hammers it down for 4 hrs solid with a 5 mile hike !

a team who might as well play on mars, no kent can get there,

      and

A team in a 3rd world country with a ground smaller than Ashton Town’s

Did folk not realise we were only getting just over 600? Could have sworn that was common knowledge weeks ago. Why the complaining? I got up at 5 this morning and got in the queue. The same happens at ticketed events round the country when supply and demand cant meet. Do you complain in the January sales when the bargains go?

Everyone organising travel knew the crack. Its first come first served. 450 were on sale this morning. You cant trust phonelines so get in the queue like most of us did (or get someone else to do it). Am sure the club will get more as Maribor will be out the competition in a month.

An absolute disgrace Bigroy is what it is and your comments smack of someone who got a ticket so fck everybody else. Not everybody could queue.
The club have acted disgracefully with the release of this package below, when people have queued up in person or on phonelines this morning and not got tickets. They need emailing and telling to get these tickets used up on those on the waiting list.

No mate. Work full time, 5 kids, travelled 40 mile this morning to get ticket. Got up at 4. Depends on level of commitment i suppose. Booked in dentist appointment at work. Job done! The package (VIP) at 475 is good value. Flights alone are 250 now without extras of being with team so i dont see a problem. You couldnt do that with many teams for 475 quid believe me. City, united etc all do package deals. I hope you all get sorted and as i said above i think you will do but dont go complaining we sell an allocation of 600 tickets quickly.

I’d hazard a guess that these are exec/VIP tickets, therefore they’ll probably want to police how and to who they’re sold.

All away clubs in European cups get an allocation of VIP tickets and I may be wrong but I’m sure they are given guidelines of how they can be sold – so you don’t end up with groups of supporters wearing colours and waving flags in amongst the directors, sponsors, etc.

I doubt many, if any will be sold seperately.

I don’t get some people, it is stated as clear as day that there 641 tickets, so that leaves 500 even when they keep back 150 for the Club VIP Package (which is exceptional value when you compare it to the Vital flight in and out at £285*, add a top hotel £90, drinks reception £35 and ticket you are at £425…. so just an extra £50 for the boasting rights of going with the players having photos and other opportunities).

How many Corporate/Hospitality Season Ticket holders do you think there are? 20, 30, 40….. No, I would guess there are around 400 of them, all of which pay nearer £1,000 a year not £300, and so they should get first dibs.

Then we get to season ticket holders this morning, do you suggest the do first come first serve, or wonder who is going to be most upset first and give them a ticket?

Either way, there are 640 Latics fans going to watch the game, history says that no more tickets will be given, but that is not to say it is dead in the water. But I would say that you are only going to know if there are extra tickets after it is confirmed Maribor fans are not taking up their tickets and that would probably be after they play Kazan on November 28th at the earliest, probably the first week in December.

*I am not slating this trip, just using the flight cost as it is a charter just like the clubs will be, but I would guess the plane may be a different class taking the players!!!

Which comes first the chicken or the egg? Which do fans need to buy first, a match ticket or a flight and hotel?

The club has clearly put fans in an impossible situation. Fans thought this was a dream come true, but it’s turning into a nightmare.

I want to know who (presumably from the club) told us we would get all the tickets we needed.

Hindsight’s a wonderful thing, but the club must have known ages ago tickets were highly limited and should have restricted tickets to those on “official” trips. That way the numbers could have been controlled and tickets guaranteed to those people.

Anyone not on an official trip tickets not guaranteed.

Like I say, easy to say now….

I think your slant on things would be totally different if you would have got to the front of the q and they said to you :- ” SOLD OUT , SORRY” .To be honest I don’t get flying turd about latics , I’ll be there ticket or no ticket. they’ve never given a monkeys about fans as a whole ever since they got the taste of premiershit football.

When we got in the prem they dumped the kids club like a bag a kak and stuck them in a double decker bus but the same kids will be the ones who’ll be expected to be there 10 years on.

The 150 are extra tickets on top of the 642 it says so on the official site so the total number of tickets are 792.

The Club could very well have waited until their normal time for issuing tickets, that could have been the last week in November.

By that time 100’s more could have booked travel thinking there would be no problems with tickets. By doing this now they will hopefully stop people booking a trip without a chance of getting a ticket.

Not every club has a 1,500 allocation of away tickets, it was mentioned many times on here that there were only 600 tickets.

Be happy for the ones that did get one and if you booked travel without knowing you had a ticket, who is to blame – The Club????

Big thumbs up for them thinking of the fans here, they have probably saved a lot of people a lot of money.

FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

When has Wigan Athletic EVER shown anything but contempt for the average fan?

Exactly BB. The club are at the centre of this debacle mainly for the reason you state.

If we had done it the other way round, waited until tickets were in hand, we probably couldn’t book a flight by then…can’t win.

I knew and accepted there was a risk over tickets when I booked, hence why I paid a deposit only.

What has annoyed me today is the comment couple of weeks ago that tickets wouldn’t be a problem. Most of us who’d booked relaxed when we heard that.

What has really f!!ked me off today is the club announcing this VIP thing on the same announcement that normal tickets had sold out. As others have said, its actually not a bad package for the price and I might well have booked it had it been announced in September. Probably have had to take the wife as well. (So maybe it’s a blessing in disguise :silly: )

By the way, when they put me on the waiting list, the TO said they’re not taking travel details for this

Never mind, relaxing now with a nice glass(es) of wine watching England….what else could go wrong today
