Shut the door behind you lad.

Griff, come on. You are no fool, so can’t you see he is right? Yesterday at 70 minutes, folk were piling out. It’s been a long time since it was like that. I’m not saying I’ll stop going, I won’t, but it’s becoming something of a ‘chore’, to go down and watch that.
The management and team are useless. My dad normally doesn’t say a lot about things, just generally supports the team. But yesterday he opened up and said “He’s not got a clue, him. He’s got to go”. And that’s how I feel. Yes, it’s a damn shame it’s not working, and his legend has been tarnished. Terribly sad.
My way of thinking is that at least if we go down, and change manager or whatever, we can ship out the want-a-ways that are littering the squad, and rebuild a side with passion and commitment. Would Martinez be my choice to do this? No. Never in a million years.
This is a guy who plays one up front at home. I recall in the cup at Blackburn in 1998, John Deehan did similar……and got called rotten for it. Yet here we are, and this guy is doing it week in, week out. And his team selections? Bloody hell. Needs a defensive change, so he moves Scharner from midfield, instead of a like-for-like swap with Boyce. The guy puzzles me. Honestly.
If we do go down, and I really think we might, I am going to embrace the Championship. I might start enjoying it again, and at the very least, most games will be on a Saturday and a Tuesday, rather than being chopped and changed for the armchair viewers. I won’t actually miss the Premier league. And perhaps we’ll start taking 3 and 4,000’s away again?
But most of all, I think we need a new manager.
22 February 2010 at 1:12 pm #23628Griff, come on. You are no fool, so can’t you see he is right? Yesterday at 70 minutes, folk were piling out.You think walking out of the ground helps the team stay in this league?
You think booing the players and manager helps the team stay in this league?
You’re right, I’m no fool. And I know that no amount of booing and dummy-spitting by fans is likely to result in any changes whatsoever. We can all see that Martinez is stubbornly going to stick with this formation and style of play so rather than having a complete eppy about it I prefer to try to get behind him and support it.
We all know that Whelan will make a decision only when Whelan is good and ready. You think people walking out is going to make him make a decision. Only when Whelan tires of poor results will anything change.
People can walk out all they want, it is their right. Doesn’t mean I have to agree with them or admire them for it.
22 February 2010 at 1:18 pm #23632I was stunned by some who walked out near me. Normally the more patient fans.
One thing I have never done is boo the team.
But I can catagorically state here and now that I don’t think he should stay. Whether we go down or not. That’s my feeling. The guy is too set on playing a certain way, when other managers chop and change to suit the individual opposition. Our basic plan is to get N’Zogbia on the ball. He’s all left foot, playing on the right, so it’s obvious he’s goping to go inside.
It’s Sunday League stuff, that. Got to go. No spirit in the squad, and just no cohesion.

I am stunned by you vat you certainly can do the about turn in a short space of time
22 February 2010 at 3:09 pm #23691hi maffy66 hows you pal, must admit you are right ,we will get less and less on at home ,with this crap we are watching bobby is out of his league ,only ones to benefit from this will be the wurriors .
22 February 2010 at 3:17 pm #23698I am stunned by you vat you certainly can do the about turn in a short space of time :lol:No, let’s have it right. Early season, I thought the same as I do now. He’s not good enough, not got a clue, and will take us down.
For the past few weeks, I have tried to defend him, to stay loyal, and to ‘sit on the fence’. But let me be honest, underneath that, I’ve been thinking “what the hell is he playing at?” and doubting him completely.
Yesterday made my mind up once and for all. He hasn’t got a clue. Tactically inept. I would suggest that he fooks off as soon as possible, back to doing TV work, because for the love of god, he has not got a clue when it comes to mamaging at this level. I don’t think he’d be the man for the job in the Championship, either. He’s turned a fairly solid defence into nervous shi*bags, and his insistance on playing pretty football, is god awful.
(went to 4-4-2 briefly, and started having a go. Then changed it back for no apparent reason. Clueless!)And what he see’s in this Moreno, I have no idea. Pi** poor, and make no mistake.
The club IS imploding. And if you think we will survive this season, then you are more deluded than he is!

We’ve just gone a handfull of games unbeaten, then lost to Spurs.
The only ones imploding are those who can’t cope with a little pressure.
