They got beaten by a better team on the night.

It was good to see another >20,000 crowd on the DW tonight.

Didn’t even know they were playing tonight until I got to Junction 26 on the northbound M6 and there was a queue to get off. Likewise they were queuing to get off the M6 southbound at Junction 27.

Read into that what you will….

Wigan Rugby League Ultras? Oh how I laughed.

They’ve picked up on a phrase from mainland Europe for football hooligans, and used it for a sport unheard of in most of mainland Europe, and which claims to have no hooligans. I know who some of the people are who have posted on that thread, and they most certainly would not bring fear to your average Serbian or Turkish football ultra’s face.

But now, they have chosen the name of a Celtic tribe instead – as clearly over recent years they have demonstrated how popular Rugby League is within the Celtic race.

Good job it isn’t about violence then.

Ultras! brigantes! is it just me or is it all just a bit cringe-worthy, give it a couple of weeks and they’ll be having a secret handshake.

I bet the mel gibson face paint wont be long in making an appearance……….clowns!
