Cameroon – Olembe
Hungary – Gabor Bukran (would this one count??)
Japan – Miyaichi (seen as your already counting Kone)I’m also sure we had a Slovenian lad under Jewell but just cant think of his name
15 August 2012 at 1:11 pm #91373Would this be their actual nationality or the country they have represented at international level?
Only McCarthy is Scottish but plays for Ireland & wasn’t Marcelo Moreno or whatever his name was Brazilian but played for Bolivia? And Moses was born in Nigeria but has British nationality? Boyce was born in Aylesbury but plays for Barbados. Chimbonda was from Guadeloupe but played for France Finally, Maloney was born in Malaysia but to British parents & plays for Scotland?
Also what is their definition of country as technically England, Scotland & Wales are classed as one country internationally?
The Observer really needs to clarify this!! ;)I’ll have a stab at a few more anyway:
Brazil – Magno Silva Viera
Chile – Beausejour
Japan – Miyaichi
Poland – Cwyka15 August 2012 at 1:12 pm #91374Bulgarian lad, missed a penalty at Blackburn. Todorov, was it?

Bulgaria – Todorov15 August 2012 at 1:25 pm #91377Standish repeated cho leaving 1 left and Griff has just tipped it to 40 with Todorov.
Magno never played Tyldsley (don’t think) Cwyka, Beasejour and Miyachi were repeats.
Peywet, Again repeats, And Bukran is a cheeky attempt haha. I went to that pre-season game against Everton when he put us 1-0 up but lost 6-1
15 August 2012 at 1:39 pm #91380Check the list I’ve added Yosser. I’m sure that’s the 40 – with no repeats.
15 August 2012 at 1:50 pm #91381Myaichi and Koné haven’t actually played for us have they ?
15 August 2012 at 1:56 pm #91382That is a good point fill, I think they are banking on that one though.
On Bukran, He wont be on the list as a trialist. The Indian keeper we have could be included if that is the case and many more before him.
I think i know who it is. In the mid 90’s didn’t we have a keeper for a bit from New Zealand. Think his name could have been Newell

I saw Magno play for Latics in a pre-season friendly so if Bukran counts then so does he. Doesn’t matter anyway like coz someone remembered another Brazilian (Thome)
Like I said though until you know how The Obby decided on a player’s nationality there’s no way of knowing if any list is correct – Jason Roberts isn’t Grenadian, Boyce isn’t Barbadian, Chimbonda isn’t French etc..
It’s a veritable minefield & I demand a recount15 August 2012 at 2:04 pm #91384What about Jamaica..Damien Francis ?
