You obviously have too much time on your hands and not enough to occupy your mind.
16 November 2019 at 4:05 pm #182065would he wear that badge after the 11th November, which was last Monday? Did he actually sign it last week?Lots of people are still wearing poppies, particularly a pin badge
And where is Cook? Is something happening, are they going to announce Cook has gone, and are using Joffy signing the new deal to appease anybody who may be disgruntled?
A contract is between the club (Royle and Jackson) and the player. Although they are very often wheeled in for big signings, managers play no part in the procedure, particularly when you are giving a contract to a young player already on the books.
Where is he? Probably at home having been given a bit of time off to be with his family.Perhaps I am just being a conspiracy theorist here.
Probably
16 November 2019 at 5:06 pm #182066Dave sat at homeWe’ve all worn that hat at some time or other
16 November 2019 at 6:33 pm #182067Well Joffy has signed a new deal this morning.
I agree cupwinners on the 3-5 years project and i’ve said for a while it’s what we have to do
Whilst I am delighted we have got him to sign a new contract, the picture of him with Darren Royle and Jonathan Jackson has made me think.
In the picture, Royle is wearing a Poppy pin badge. Now, if Darren Royle is the astute businessman he seems to be, would he wear that badge after the 11th November, which was last Monday? Did he actually sign it last week? Seems strange to do that and wait until this spare International break weekend to announce it.And where is Cook? Is something happening, are they going to announce Cook has gone, and are using Joffy signing the new deal to appease anybody who may be disgruntled?
Perhaps I am just being a conspiracy theorist here. Or maybe something is going on behind the scenes?[/quote]
Maybe Cook and a few are getting a well earned break in Marbella and getting a bit of sun on their backs.l16 November 2019 at 9:34 pm #182068Well Joffy has signed a new deal this morning.

16 November 2019 at 10:12 pm #182069Kieffer Moore’s form for Wales is taking the p***, or should we call it “takin the leek”
If Cook listened to this form Moore would be doing that for us too!
16 November 2019 at 10:20 pm #182070We dont need him from corners, we already have Dunks
16 November 2019 at 11:45 pm #182071We dont need him from corners, we already have DunksVery true, but he does have assists for goal king Dunkley
17 November 2019 at 12:29 pm #182072Gelhardt (if true) signing a new deal means nothing more than the club can demand a bigger fee when he’s sold, something chippy mon should have done with Powell.
I personally think we will never see him in a Latics shirt as a regular starter. The industrial size bag of cotton wool will be used to protect our prize asset.Theres one slight problem with that, if your are unable to show what you can actually on a pitch then your valuation will slowly diminish overtime.
Moore 2 in 3 for Wales but yet to score an outfield goal for us ?. Player or managers fault ?.
Lots on here are like MPs and Brexit. They say one thing then move the goal post when suits. I seem to remember lots saying that last season was all about survival and consolidate then push on next season to secure a regular spot in the Championship.
12 months on were deja vu. I prefer competitive football as opposed to survival football.
Me?, I have got to blame our last 4-5 transfer windows. We’ve brought in players by the tractor load. Who ever sourced out some of the players needs stop scouting via YouTube.
If we had of used these windows better we might not be in the sh1t we are17 November 2019 at 1:11 pm #182073I’m not going to count his goals from set pieces but I think we all agree he needs more support. We could also do with trying to teach our wide players how to cross because they always end up 6 foot above him or miles behind him
17 November 2019 at 1:14 pm #182074It’s not the players fault cupwinners. It falls on one man only. The 4 2 3 1 system we play is/was not designed to hoof the ball up to the big mon to head it into no mans land. Everyone else can see this tactic isnt working, bar one.
17 November 2019 at 1:57 pm #182075There have been plenty times also when he has nodded it to the likes of Jacobs, Massey and Lowe but they aren’t or haven’t been good enough to do anything more with it. Imagine him nodding it down to an Andy Liddell or Nathan Ellington. You just know something would come of it even on halfway
17 November 2019 at 4:06 pm #182077There have been plenty times also when he has nodded it to the likes of nobody even when he has had support from Jacobs, Massey and Lowe, et al.

It would help if Moore could do better with the chances that arise in Latics games. E.g. scoring when put clean through on goal, but not being fast enough. Cook’s fault?
17 November 2019 at 8:07 pm #182080What’s wrong with experience?
Wycombe’s two goal scorers today have a combined age of 70!
17 November 2019 at 8:07 pm #182081If we can sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid, Daniel James from United or Aaron Ramsay from Juve we would no doubt put the right balls into him!
