Ballot for tickets now open
Latics have received a maximum allocation of 1,357 tickets for the tie at AFC Fylde’s Mill Farm.
Ballot open to 2017-18 Wigan Athletic season card holders for the Emirates FA Cup Second Round tie at AFC Fylde.
Season card holders have until 5pm on Wednesday 15 November to register their interest in a ticket.
Season card holders who are successful in the ballot will be notified in due course.
Wigan Athletic season card holders who wish to purchase a ticket for Latics’ hotly-anticipated Emirates FA Cup Second Round tie at AFC Fylde have the chance to enter a ballot for tickets. With demand expected to be far greater than the maximum allocation of 1,357 at Mill Farm, it has been decided that 2017-18 Wigan Athletic season card holders will have the opportunity to request one ticket for the tie in a ballot.
Supporters must register their interest online, in person at the DW Stadium Ticket Office or by calling 0871 66 33 552 before 5pm on Wednesday 15 November.
10 November 2017 at 9:59 pm #163250Why don’t we start a moan ( tongue in cheek ).
That’s not fair, it should be ST holders of 40 years or more get first dibs; ST holders of 30 to 40 years, second dibs; etc.
or anyone outside a Wigan postcode gets first dibs, cos they travel furthest to home games, etc.
Can’t please em all
Anyway, thought I’d steal a march on our perennial moaners.
10 November 2017 at 10:38 pm #163251Have three kids, hardly miss an away game. Not much chance of all four of us coming out. Joke way of doing it.
10 November 2017 at 10:38 pm #163252What if they come out hat and I don’t?
10 November 2017 at 10:38 pm #163253Been on and done it.
Suppose its as fair as they could be…I just hope its not another Cardiff situation when the 2000 free tickets were supposedly to be ‘given to loyal fans’, yet I knew lads who had been going 2 seasons who got them. It was very much a ‘for the boys’ scenario, and left a real bitter taste.
I’m not holding out much hope.
10 November 2017 at 10:45 pm #163255If say, 3500 people apply for the tickets, you basically have a 3-1 chance of getting one.
Not sure how its gonna work with people who have kiddies. If mummy or daddy gets a ticket and the others dont…
Ive applied for 2 adult’s and 2 kids.
10 November 2017 at 10:49 pm #163257I think there is a less than 1 in 3 chance of winning the draw because no way will all 1300+ Tickets be up for grabs.
10 November 2017 at 11:19 pm #163258So what were those ‘Golden tickets’ handed out to those who attended the Checkatrade fiasco? Or was it a wind up perhaps? Bit of a stupid way to run things having a ballot mind! Like school kids running a tuck shop !

Well I’ll have a moan …
What Bloody voucher ??
West stand turnstile operator took my cash but I got bugger all back !
That’s not on, I got a free pie and pint aswell, and a blow job off one of the birds in the ticket office, all you had to do was ask at the turnstile and mention the code : WeArEtAkInGtHePiSs.[/quote]
10 November 2017 at 11:45 pm #163261Serious question then.
What else could the club have done?
They couldnt win whatever they decided to do. Fact is, demand outstrips availability here in a way we havent had to deal with for a good while. TV will have put a few people off, but I still reckon 2500-3000 will be chasing the tickets. The club shouldve issued a stub for ALL attending supporters at the Crawley game…but even that wouldnt have worked.
The ballot system, used for years at clubs like Liverpool and Everton, probably is the only way. They should hold the draw in the South Stand Bar and do it like an FA Cup draw, lol. “And next out of the barrel….its….Darren Orme!” Get 2 former players to draw it, governed by Jonathan Jackson. It’d be a laugh
10 November 2017 at 11:50 pm #163262Can’t believe I’ve just read this, f in disgusting me and dearest go everywhere together and no way is she going if she wins and i don’t, i’ll top her first then sell her ticket to the highest bidder i might just get £25 .

No matter what anybody says, a chunk of tickets will go to club hang-ons and brown nosers. Probably 1100 to Joe Public
11 November 2017 at 12:40 am #163264Since I have a PR5 postcode, I’ll tootle on up to their ground and purchase the odd ticket. Well it worked for me and HORc when we sent Rovers down ( chicken on the pitch game ) and we were int the home end tek’in piss ( and I found a tenner on’t way out !

Well it worked for me and HORc when we sent Rovers down ( chicken on the pitch game ) and we were int the home end tek’in piss ( and I found a tenner on’t way out !I’m sure it was a twenty and you split it and we had a tenner each. It was a good night all round, a £20 find, 3 points, survival, sending the Rovers down and I found a nearly full pack of twenty cigs at full time.
11 November 2017 at 2:12 am #163266Demand won’t be that huge as it’s ont box. Only 3000 could be arsed going to the home game last Satdy. It’s even more money than last Satdy. It’s away on a Friday night.
It’s only a cup game which our manager won’t be arsed about so it’s going to be a weakened team to give the players another break.
So there’s a great chance if you put your name in the box then you’ll get a ticket. -
