Your not the Tyldesley latic who had his wedding at the JJB and Arjan De Zeeuw was his best man?

      #80243

Nope I got married at a church in St Helens and one of my mates was my best man

There was a bloke who used to manage the Wetherspoons in Tyldesley who I know was a Latics fan & got married at the stadium not long after it got its licence so you may be thinking of him – don’t know if he was from Tyldesley or whether De Zeeuw was his best man though

Think that might be him. Think he split up with his missus shortly after!

Don’t know many men who would get away with that as a wedding venue though. Although the year i got married i got a season ticket instead of a wedding ring. It was the first year in the prem aswell, better memories than a piece of metal.

Always a good chance to go down when we really should be a bit less sloppy up front and tighter at the back.

When I got married, myself, wife, father in law, brother in law and 2 mates left our wedding reception to go to a game a 0-1 home defeat to Oxford United.

          ps.

dic-bastardly, true mark of a liverpool fan that is it ?

Call me paranoid but sometimes I get the impression that my chosen profession as a window cleaner is a humble one at that to you because you keep stating it !! How does £40 an hr sound !! ;)

I mention it only because I know what it is. If I new you were a brain surgeon or a bus driver I’d mention that too, precisely because none of them qualify you to know how to run a football club and appoint its staff. I find it fantastically arrogant when people say “we have told the club what they need to do but they dont listen”.

I bet you’d be mightily brassed off if Jonathan Jackson rocked up in Leyland and told you that you should be using different ladders and chamois leathers. ;)[/quote]

I know the Jacksons they clean in Preston city centre ! The reason I mentioned it was on the back of some dick who’s windows I clean ! He works at BNFL and was bragging about being on £16 an hr ! He went on to ask me if I had ever considered taking up a ” Proper ” profession ! I told him that I wouldn’t get out of bed for £16 an hr ! The paranoia can be put down to him then !!
Any self employed person only earning £7.50 an hr needs to take a long hard look at his business ! I clean windows in Fulwood and Longridge and the average price for a semi there is £ 7. Five or six semi’s an hr is a piece of piss ! Is your window cleaner old or obese ?

I can get a semi at work for much less than that. Quick fumble at lunch time with Diane in Purchasing in the Nag’s Head costs me half a Peroni. About £2.25
