22 June 2019 at 3:22 pm #179305Same fekin age more like!
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!22 June 2019 at 3:48 pm #179306He’s older than me and I’m an old fart but would be a good addition I like him not sure on 1.9 million for Jedi tho it’s a yes from me.
22 June 2019 at 9:32 pm #179308Robinson yes….youth..but not 2 mill……Hutton age negative, experience positive so fence for me on that one.
22 June 2019 at 9:52 pm #179310I thought Robinson’s defensive game improved 100% after his injury lay off. A good young prospect who already has fantastic attacking game could be a great signing with potential to make us a few bob if he progresses. That fee is probably a good one for both clubs.

What a journey!23 June 2019 at 1:53 am #17931323 June 2019 at 11:56 am #179318Dont believe anything that excuse of a paper prints.
I’m on the fence like mr brownbill with this one. He has experience & could certainly do 1 season, perhaps 2 – bit like warnock did for us. But I rather we sign Robinson. Have we a realistic chance of landing him??
23 June 2019 at 1:52 pm #179322Bags of experience and still a half decent player….do for me. Will help whichever of our <25 centre backs play alongside Fox. It may lead to our defenders being in position as opposed to our right back being in midfield, one centre back at left back, our left back up front somewhere and the other centre back heading it into his own net.
24 June 2019 at 3:39 am #179334Negatives are,
In the context of what we can pay a player and what he’ll be wanting I’m sure he will be at the upper end of our wage tree limit so is that value for a player coming up for 35 years of age ?.It’s ok saying he’s “experienced” but keeping him fit in such a demanding league will be close on impossible as we found out with Pilkington and Fox.
I hope O’Neil does jump in and scuppers our chance of signing him
24 June 2019 at 5:26 pm #179336Hull now in for him so we will probably be third choice.

What a journey!24 June 2019 at 6:15 pm #179337He has supposedly already passed a medical at Latics.
24 June 2019 at 7:33 pm #179338He has supposedly already passed a medical at Latics.Fox and Pilkington both passed those then we’re out injured half the time.

We couldn’t keep Nick Powell fit and he’s 25
25 June 2019 at 3:52 am #179340So are you gonna argue that Hutton’s worth a gamble because we couldn’t keep Powell fit ? (Whatever the f thats suppose to mean).
We’d be 6-8 million better off if ChippyBoy had of got his sh1t together last summer.
Powell was worth pursuing while Hutton is looking for nothing more than 1 more year in the gamble. About the same amount of ambition as a journeyman. Prize Fighter25 June 2019 at 11:54 am #179341Well if you want to compare between Hutton and Powell, one has played at the top level for years and has 50 International caps and one hasn’t.
I’m sorry to see Powell go as on his day he was our best player by a mile (not including Reece) for the last few seasons, and I would also be glad to sign Hutton albeit for 12 months because his experience will be invaluable.
You seem to have an issue signing anyone over 30 but you need a mix of youth and experience in any squad and what someone like Hutton offers the field is huge. The same with Fox, and the plus point with Fox is that he is superb on the field too. I just hope the long break has sorted all his injury issues.
