31 January 2020 at 12:01 am #184514Don’t forget also, we probably haven’t paid the full £2M to Everton yet, that may also have had clauses built in.
Then how much to pay Cook off?

There will still be loads left over.
31 January 2020 at 2:35 am #184520£10m fee agreed he’s flying out tomorrow to discuss terms and have a medical.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!31 January 2020 at 3:05 am #184521I think it’s a loan with an agreement to buy in the summer, it’s just so a huge club like AC Milan can save up
31 January 2020 at 10:16 pm #184530Deal off according to reports in Italy……disagreement over transfer payments….
31 January 2020 at 10:17 pm #184531Currently it’s gone tits up if its down to Wigan that’s bang out of order and I can see alot of finger pointing in the days to come.
Feel for the young lad.31 January 2020 at 10:21 pm #184533if its down to Wigan that’s bang out of orderHang on.
If it didn’t suit us and AC were trying one on, then how’s it bang out of order if we’ve stood up for ourselves?
Everyone is moaning that Cook got too good a deal from Sharpy, but when the club do actually stand up for itself then apparently it’s “bang out of order”?
I can fully imagine AC thinking we would roll over and accept anything.
Well done the club, I say.31 January 2020 at 10:24 pm #184535Actually – this is what is being reported on BBC:
“The USA international underwent a medical examination with AC Milan, though further medical tests with the Italian authorities were required, which were subject to a 72-hour deadline.
As such, the deal could not be formally ratified before the 8pm Italian Transfer Deadline on Friday.”
31 January 2020 at 11:07 pm #184543Truth is,
AC changed the terms of payments on the last minute. They wanted to pay a very small amount up front then spread the rest over a far longer period. They decided this at the very last minute thinking they had us by the short and curlies.
This was all about FFP headljnes:
“Big club fails to screw small club”Theres only one I feel sorry for, the player. I can only think there could have been a workaround. DW would have it ironed out in no time.
Robinson wouldn’t have even got on the plane without something in writing.
Who’s doing our negotiating? Dick & Dom ? might as well be31 January 2020 at 11:14 pm #184544Truth is,AC changed the terms of payments on the last minute. Who’s doing our negotiating? Dick & Dom ? might as well beYou know this how exactly?
You were there during the negotiations, or you’ve read someone on Twitter’s speculation.
Never mind the truth, or that AC are trying even in your scenario to screw us over.
Let’s criticise Latics.31 January 2020 at 11:29 pm #184546Truth is,

No I wasn’t but if you wanna believe bullshit that further medical requiring 72 hours wasn’t made clear on the first is a piss my pants laughable excuse, it was all about money f uk all else.I blame “both” parties the new Brexit Crew, they were the ones round the desk not Robinson.
So “Robinson passes medical AC Milan” was lies ? why a 2nd. I you have a medical on deadline day, you pass, you sign. When have you ever heard further tests 72 hours later ? Lol. You believe that you’ll believe anything.
The truth will come out.You wanna buy some magic beans ??
31 January 2020 at 11:31 pm #184548Milan probably realised they had wrong player. Never made sense money they were talking about for an average championship player. He’s done OK this season in a poor side but hasn’t pulled up any trees.
31 January 2020 at 11:34 pm #184549A few people probably passed him in the corridor like he wasn’t there and he was in completely the wrong place and they realised he can’t defend for toffee.

31 January 2020 at 11:42 pm #184553Cup Winners – I have to say that if it was all about money then good on the club for sticking to their guns. If Milan tried to change the deal at the last minute in their own favour and we didn’t like it then I’m glad we’ve told them to do one!
Much as I have great sympathy for the player, the club’s best interests should always come first. So if our board were not happy with Milan’s terms then we do not sell – simple as!
If Robinson is good enough, Milan will come back. But now he just needs to get his head down and show them what they are missing out on – which will be great for us (cos we’ll probably be able to slap another couple of million on his price tag if he does)!
