9 September 2010 at 11:01 pm #45867Is he playing like[link2:3cla6mmw]Read Here …..like,http://www.shieldsgazette.com/safc/Bramble-will-be-a-real.6523151.jp?%5B/link2:3cla6mmw%5D
10 September 2010 at 12:32 am #45882How foolish you are to say “I’m going to applaud him”. The guy is a confidence player and plays well under Bruce cos he puts his arm round him and gives him that bit of self belief.
Boo the feker to death before and during the game and make him feel pot for leaving us for the mackems. :x
After the game is over, then give him the applause he deserves for giving us a few good years service. ;)
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!10 September 2010 at 2:05 am #45890Tis a good point Fatfan, however you never know, a round of applause might lull him into a false sense of security, see him drop his guard and indeed succumb to the inevitable clanger that we all know he is capable of on his day…like this…

Sorry Titus ;)
I always think that when a former player returns to one of his old haunts the booing only makes em more determined to put in a good show. Just a thought like.
10 September 2010 at 2:17 am #45891SW’s PA here.Bramble wanted to go, and specifically wanted to go to Sunderland.
Bramble was on ridiculously high wages, with just one year left on his contract.
Bramble was – allegedly – a disruptive influence in the dressing room.
I actually liked the lad, but I just can’t see how it was a mistake at all.
‘Thank you Christine. Cancel my ten o’clock, and if anyone asks, I’m in meetings for the rest of the day’ (pinches PA’s a4se, and walks out of office with golf clubs in hand)
10 September 2010 at 3:06 am #45892I’m all for giving Bruce a bit of banter, but all Bramble will be getting off me is a round of applause and a chuckle if he does indeed drop one on Saturday.Best defender since Arry…Can’t boo him. Each to their own n that.
agreed one of our best defenders despite the blunders, first name on my team sheet.
10 September 2010 at 2:26 pm #45931This thread digressed way back but just to get it back on track I am predicting 15,500 for Saturday ! If that !! :?:
10 September 2010 at 3:26 pm #45934Got to agree there
if you’re a floater/someone who will watch either Latics or rugby in “big games & can afford to pay to watch one game this weekend which one are you going to watch?
Latics v Sunderland or Warriors v Leeds
10 September 2010 at 3:47 pm #45935Just ask a Pakistani Cricketer, they will tell you what the crowd is :)
10 September 2010 at 3:58 pm #4593815,971, no, 15,973 I’ve just got two £7:50 tickets for my mate and his Dad.
10 September 2010 at 8:16 pm #45970but I know in our first season up they only brought just over a 1000 (a stark contrast to a few months before when they sold out the East Stand for a Championship game)I note that you are an armchair fan these days – was that a game you actually went to or did you just hear it from a bloke in a pub?
Check about 1 min & 48 seconds into this link and you’ll see what “just over 1000 fans” looks like:

Sunderland dont sell out at Wigan? It seems they have! Again!!!

How many we will take away to Fulham
What the score in the Warriors game was
Who will win Ultimate Big Brother
Who is going to be written out of Coronation Street next
Whether the BT couple on TV get divorced or together
What Jeremy Clarkson thinks about my carThese are just a few of the things that I really can’t be bothered even thinking about.
I hope Nick wins Big Brother.

No – I just know when someone is talking out of their ringpiece and am happy to expose a bullsh!tter. Sunderland are well known for their large following, and to imply that they only took 1,000 to any premier league game is farcical. A quick look on youtube clearly shows more than 1K.
