How foolish you are to say “I’m going to applaud him”. The guy is a confidence player and plays well under Bruce cos he puts his arm round him and gives him that bit of self belief.
Boo the feker to death before and during the game and make him feel pot for leaving us for the mackems. :x
After the game is over, then give him the applause he deserves for giving us a few good years service. ;)
Tis a good point Fatfan, however you never know, a round of applause might lull him into a false sense of security, see him drop his guard and indeed succumb to the inevitable clanger that we all know he is capable of on his day…like this…
I always think that when a former player returns to one of his old haunts the booing only makes em more determined to put in a good show. Just a thought like.
Bramble wanted to go, and specifically wanted to go to Sunderland.
Bramble was on ridiculously high wages, with just one year left on his contract.
Bramble was – allegedly – a disruptive influence in the dressing room.
I actually liked the lad, but I just can’t see how it was a mistake at all.
‘Thank you Christine. Cancel my ten o’clock, and if anyone asks, I’m in meetings for the rest of the day’ (pinches PA’s a4se, and walks out of office with golf clubs in hand)
I’m all for giving Bruce a bit of banter, but all Bramble will be getting off me is a round of applause and a chuckle if he does indeed drop one on Saturday.
Best defender since Arry…Can’t boo him. Each to their own n that.
agreed one of our best defenders despite the blunders, first name on my team sheet.
if you’re a floater/someone who will watch either Latics or rugby in “big games & can afford to pay to watch one game this weekend which one are you going to watch?
but I know in our first season up they only brought just over a 1000 (a stark contrast to a few months before when they sold out the East Stand for a Championship game)
I note that you are an armchair fan these days – was that a game you actually went to or did you just hear it from a bloke in a pub?

Latics attendance on Saturday
How many we will take away to Fulham
What the score in the Warriors game was
Who will win Ultimate Big Brother
Who is going to be written out of Coronation Street next
Whether the BT couple on TV get divorced or together
What Jeremy Clarkson thinks about my car
These are just a few of the things that I really can’t be bothered even thinking about.

Seems you know quite a lot about Sunderland ,Thugby and tics  [/quote]
No – I just know when someone is talking out of their ringpiece and am happy to expose a bullsh!tter. Sunderland are well known for their large following, and to imply that they only took 1,000 to any premier league game is farcical. A quick look on youtube clearly shows more than 1K.
