Bit of a bold prediction vat
Well, here are some other snippets of things I have been told.
Stanley Choi aims to move out both Cook, and the Royles, once he is in sole control of the club.
There is a £12 million transfer kitty for the January window.
If we are relegated to League One, Choi will look to sell the football club.
If we are relegated, this will put us in a dire position, financially, potentially in a precarious position, similar to how Bolton ended up. (Bolton were being kept afloat by the money from the hotel, that kept them afloat. We havent got that luxury)
Make of it all what you will.[/quote]
You and stan good mates?

The bits about selling the club and moving the Royles on are bits that surely only Choi would know. He’s hardly going to go around telling people that is he?
19 December 2019 at 11:21 am #183025As I said, make of it what you will.
If we went down and he sold us, unless he sold us to someone with money to chuck away, it would put us in a very precarious position. The fallen attendances will be having a big effect on the club coffers, so if we had an Anderson or a Dale in charge, we would easily be up shit creek.
We are ticking over as long as Choi is interested. But once he isnt..christ, we are in trouble. So how do we get out of that position? The only solution really is to get back up to the Premier League and reep the financial cash-cow of it. But you will all know, the same as I do, that we are miles away from even being in contention for that.
I think we are bound by how long Choi is interested in us. Another financial solution is to hold concerts in the stadium, which they now have licensing for. When Bolton held concerts, they made £1 million per concert. They made loads off parking and food and drink. Those big red industrial waste bins? They filled 47 of them with bottles alone! And obviously all prices for things were bumped up as well. The 2 million that Bolton made during the summer before last, basically kept them going. But because they didnt pay commissions owed to SJM Concerts, they had two gigs from this last summer, Bon Jovi and Take That, taken off them and given to Anfield instead. Darren Royle attempted to get Take That at the DW, but licensing etc wasn’t sorted in time.
But if we are to start using this as a way of bringing income in, they will need to be announcing any summer gigs planned, very soon. On the downside, traffic, like at Bolton, will be atrocious.19 December 2019 at 6:04 pm #183026I fully expect there to be some concerts soon. That alone will keep Choi’s interest I feel.

20 December 2019 at 11:45 am #183037Latics and the DW stadium and all that came with it was an absolute snip at the price.
The guys who bought it saw:
A stadium with 2 clubs playing summer winter sport.
A decent sized modern stadium with tonnes of car parking,
The ability to hold other live events i.e. music.
Location smack bang in between 2 major UK cities with good road and train links.
If you were going to in at an entry into the UK stadia sports/music eventing the the DW has alot of good points.
The flip side to the counter is Latics are not profitable and they have proper us up to the tune of a million pound a month.
How long do you think they will maintain that before they pull the plug ?. At the end of the day it’s a business venture and regular losses ain’t good business.I hope big DW stuck a long term lease in the deal the same as the rugby had when DW owned the club.
The Championship is financially non sustainable. Certain clubs are running the risk of bankruptcy just to achieve Premiership glory.
I think when the new owners bought the club they might have been the illusion we were a club who had slipped out the Prem after a good few years playing the big boys winning the FA Cup when in truth we were batting well out our League hanging on by a curly pubic for the majority of the time. For me, were good enough to stay in the Championship,
But our manager isn’t
