They’ll be up to something. Remember last year they even had motab scooters on the pitch!

One thing, no matter what, it will be chaos. All police leave cancelled.

Blackpool have a protest march starting at 1 and it’s ending up outside the stadium at 2.30 just in time for us to be leaving the stadium after being promoted

Allocation of 3,047 are they taking the piss? Blackpool only average 7,000 at home, even less for this one because of the protest march.

No doubt the season ticket home birds will be snapping up tickets for this one

            Fuck the EFL

They average around 7000 but it is closer to 3000 because of the protests etc. They did a double season ticket thingy in The Championship and season ticket holders are counted but many don’t actually go.
We could be limited to the 3000 and Pool will have around 2500 in the ground leaving thousands of empty seats.

Even dafter is that the East Stand alone at Bloomersfield holds over 5 thousand yet the total Latics will have is 3 thousand taking seats in the old kop end and the East stand.
It’s another of those strange things that has happened at Oyston FC. Something to do with a safety certificate!!!!

If it’s something to do with a safety certificate then it’s nothing to do with the Oystons and nothing to do with Blackpool FC.

The majority if not all the supporters who have followed Latics away all season will get tickets. The ones who want to go because it’s blackpool a way and want to go on the pish may not get a ticket. Seems perfectly fair to me. I can understand those fans who can’t commit to a season ticket due to work or family issues, but why suddenly do some of these same fans find time to go to Blackpool?. 3000 is more than a fair allocation for this match based on our away following all season and home crowds. If fans want to guarantee a ticket then they know what to do, but they can’t afford to wait and see if we are in a promotion race before they do it.

                    From Matlock to ManU
                    What a journey!

Saved me the Job. My Thoughts exactly.

Bullet seems under the impression he’s entitled to away tickets without any commitment to the club in the form of a season ticket. These “away birds” eh?

No excuse next year at £199.

If it is something to do with a safety certificate then it is completely down to the Oystons or Blackpool FC.
Their lack of investment in the club and stadium, whether it is policing, stewarding or another safety matter would, I think be the only reason a safety certificate may be refused.

As I understand it, the figure’s been reduced as a result of requests from the police as they seem to be viewing it as a bit of a perfect storm fixture:
                        1) A local derby
                        2) Lots of (possibly) inebriated away fans
                        3) The protest march planned by the Blackpool supporters
                        4) The possibility that Blackpool may get relegated that day
                        5) The possibility that Latics might secure promotion

All ingredients where emotions could be running high on both sides & lead it kicking off big time a la the cup game in 1996.

I won’t be there as I’m moving down south next week & am too pre-occupied with whether to change my user name to FarnhamLatic or not

If the police have real reservations about the game then why allow a protest march which will undoubtedly get emotions running high. What has happened at Cesspool is not our doing and should not be allowed to effect such an important game.
