For all this moaning think I’m misunderstanding the problem. Get a season ticket, get off yer arse in the morning and you will get all the tickets you need. End of. My best mate probably makes it to half of the home games but has a Season ticket so he knows he’s not paying on match days. He might go to about 8-9 away games a year. Reckon only about 500 of our fans have been to more than ten away games and I would be amazed if the lads that have shown such dedication weren’t sorted for Blackpool and Burton. Stop moaning. Buy a ST for peanuts at beginning of season then get out of bed. Jobs a good un!

Everyone knew the last away game would be popular even more so being Blackpool but to sell out in under 3 hours no-one was expecting that, congrats to everyone at the club I can’t see away tickets being a problem next year .

You really do post some drivel at times Roy… When have Wigan EVER sold 3k tickets in less than 3 hours!

I know there are a few season ticket holders that have been to 8-9 away games this season that aint got a ticket for Blackpool, but have tickets for Burton!
And not for being bone idle as you suggest.

Drivel? Thought it was basic common sense that the adage ‘the early bird catches the worm’ rings true for ticket sales across the country. Call it complacency, a lack of wit or motivation. Facts are with our away support this season being so good it seems foolhardy to swan up at 12 asking where all the tickets have gone in a game that could have won us the league in Blackpool.

Seriously hope the club gets more as would be ridiculous to see a half empty ground in a game that we could sell 5k+.

Can’t think of a time I’ve ever missed out on a ticket for a game I wanted to go. The closest shave was Maribor but we got more.
If you’ve got a season ticket or someone elses (which is one of the problems, as the day trippers borrow a code of an old chap not going) a phone, the internet and the times they go on sale you shouldn’t ever miss out. My lad played football at 10 on Saturday, I rang at 5 to 10 got straight through, paid and off the phone at 10.02. Some folk moaning would have still been in bed, thinking they could get up at 5 to 11 pop on the internet and pick their seats.

How many were sold on the Friday before they even went to season ticket holders? There wouldn’t have been anywhere near 3000 on sale on Saturday.

I think you just got lucky on Saturday Tez, there were people posting on here while on hold for 30 minutes or the phone lines where down around the time you stated, you gambled and got lucky some folk weren’t that fortunate.

Blackpool fans at work, this morning, reckon there will be a mass pitch invasion and an attempt to get the game abandoned. So the ones without tickets might be the lucky ones.

And these dickheads claim to be supporters of Blackpool FC and have the club’s future at heart?
Yeah that’ll do the club a power of good, they should get behind their team instead of pissing about on demo’s and such like!

Or better still go and watch Fleetwood :woohoo:

They did that last year as well which is why I want our fate signed and sealed before then so stunts like that don’t affect us.

Doubt they’ll manage that twice. It will all be outside imo

There’s going to be a hell of a lot of Wigan fans in and around Blackpool on that day including a hell of a lot in the home section of Bloomfield and plenty of others just there for the party in Blackpool pubs.

Did get of my arse on Saturday morning (as you put it) but had business in Bolton for 9am, hence me swaning up at noon. With, hindsight yes that was foolhardy but never have tickets sold so fast for Wigan.
And seriously, the league will be won before this game.

We’re not the only club selling out in record time.. Could be worse, could support Leicester! :pinch:

“The club have been brilliant with fans these past couple of seasons. But I think there will be a few questions for them to answer as to how this has happened. I can’t see how ordinary fans could afford to pay £15,000 for two tickets – it’s the price of a second-hand car.”

A strange analogy from an ‘ordinary fan’ referencing £15k as the price of a 2nd hand car. I would imagine over half the new cars sold in this country are for under £15k

Last ever game at Highbury tickets sold outside the ground for £200, United at home when they won the league, folk selling for £100. Leicester winning the league at home£15k a pair? They’ll get £500 tops.

World of difference between someone asking for a certain amount and someone actually paying that amount.
