The majority if not all the supporters who have followed Latics away all season will get tickets. The ones who want to go because it’s blackpool a way and want to go on the pish may not get a ticket. Seems perfectly fair to me. I can understand those fans who can’t commit to a season ticket due to work or family issues, but why suddenly do some of these same fans find time to go to Blackpool?. 3000 is more than a fair allocation for this match based on our away following all season and home crowds. If fans want to guarantee a ticket then they know what to do, but they can’t afford to wait and see if we are in a promotion race before they do it.

Saved me the Job. My Thoughts exactly.

Bullet seems under the impression he’s entitled to away tickets without any commitment to the club in the form of a season ticket. These “away birds” eh?

No excuse next year at £199.
Another one jumping in feet first, i am a season card holder and attend away fixtures, i know a lot of people that are not season card holders but attend home and away games when they aren’t working.
I also know season card holders that rarely go to away games (only games like now, big games at the end of the season, ie Burton and Blackpool) Have you noticed there are plenty tickets left for Doncaster next week? And yes i am going.

Surely a better system should be put in to place for away tickets, i don’t think it’s fair that the lads that travel up and down the country watching Latics should be penalised because they didn’t pay for a season card in pre season, i am virtually guaranteed a ticket for any away game but i still think its unfair.

Anyone any ideas on a fair system?

Fortunately it isn’t all games that totally sell out away and most people who regularly go generally get a ticket. Maybe in future a token given for away games could possibly ensure that the most regular of our travelling fans are guaranteed a ticket if the problem arises. If we should get promoted the problem may not arise as often with bigger grounds, bigger allocations and unfortunately higher prices, Hopefully results go well because if they dont there wont be this problem anyway.

Is it right its something like a blue and white game, ie everyone is wearing their colours, well sod that i’d rather wear a target on my back when walking from the station.

Many of the clubs who experience demand for away tickets greater than availability operate a “Loyalty Points” system for ST Holders, where every away fixture attended gets a point and those with the most points get first dibs on the tickets. Its not ideal, as family members can often have different numbers of points, but is the fairest way of rewarding those who have made the more difficult journeys. I’m sure the WAFC database will know exactly who bought a ticket for Gillingham, Millwall & Peterborough, and could offer them first refusal on a Blackpool ticket.

Just got through to the ticket office after a 30 min wait only to be told that they are having problems with phone sales.

I suspect the problem is they want to make sure they have enough tickets for the people there in person before selling over the phone.

              I’m still on hold.

It’s not often i agree with Mutty but he is spot on, we have got to put a better system in place, without sounding like a stuck record i now know of three season card holders that have tickets for Burton and now Blackpool who have not been to an away game this season, and there will be a lot more if the truth be known.

Gutted I didn’t get tickets for this match, hope Blackpool do give us more.

Blackpool have a protest march starting at 1 and it’s ending up outside the stadium at 2.30 just in time for us to be leaving the stadium after being promoted

Hope were up long before then marrer, but I,m also praying it,s us who send the scumbags down to be honest.
Ste, don’t know why you think they are scumbags ?
I work with several Blackpool fans, and they are decent chaps; much like ourselves. Got to have sympathy with them, being owned by the Oyston Mafia. Also love the way that the Blackpool fans in my office give the KNOB end fans some shit; it’s hilarious and saves me the trouble. Hate them Knob Enders, they still think they are superior to Wigan and will never utter one word of credit for our magnificent achievements. Hope we batter them next season

Can’t believe we haven’t sold out for Donny, 1500 that’s all, so let’s hope those who can’t attend Burton and Blackpool join the party at Doncaster.

We’ll take going on 2,000 on sale the rest of this week and possibly pay on the day

Confident we’ll take well over 2k to Doncaster, People have been more concerned with Blackpool and Burton tickets, there’s not the same urgency over next week, its not all ticket and everyone knows there’ll be no problems with tickets or pay on day as we can have up to 4,000 there

I haven’t had a problem getting away tickets all season but missed out on Blackpool, and was at the ticket office for 12noon. Will probably go to Donny now but listening to one of the blokes buying tickets on Saturday Donny sounded pretty full itself??
