7 August 2013 at 8:00 pm #119017Then you know what to do
One of the objects of a board like this is to inform. We don’t make the law, but it would be very irresponsible of us to condone acts that are illegal. Whether we agree with the law or not.
And in answer to me saying “you know what to do”. The answer is post something that’s interesting.
I can’t help but read this and hear Trevor Francis’s voice and when I try and change the voice I get John Major
7 August 2013 at 8:04 pm #119018Make your mind up :)
7 August 2013 at 8:31 pm #119019Dawn raids across all Wigan Coach Companies imminent.
I think you’ll find that the Supporters Club and Arky, to name but two, would take offence that you imply they break the law.[/quote]
Arky wasn’t there for Barnsley , I sneeked a Bass shandy on ,,,,oooops ! , the cats out the bag now , dawn raid imminent.

Whether we agree with the law or not.Or you could just sit on your hands and not get involved. I believe it is illegal to pay cash or receive cash for services rendered without informing HM Inland Revenue of the on goings (foreigners) but they’re part of the fabric of society – a bit like having a drink on a bus on the way to a footie match.
8 August 2013 at 12:27 am #119025Agreed! Very poor forum these days. Why don’t you just do one then? I’m sure all the unofficial Latics coach operators are just delighted that you’ve publicly raised the issue of drinking on their coaches
8 August 2013 at 12:53 am #119027Never fails to amuse me when people come on criticising the message board like it some sort of entertainment service or TV show up for review.
Its a group effort guys and if this message board is indeed “poor” then that is as much your fault as anybody else.
8 August 2013 at 11:49 pm #119063i thought if you hired a coach privetly you could take booze as long as it was ok with the company. went to wembley twice and the coach firm were ok with it. ( cant remember much of the millwall game though :silly: )
9 August 2013 at 12:05 am #119065At the risk of being accused of being in the pay of Satan and trying to spoil everyone’s fun (whereas I am trying to keep some of you out of trouble):
Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc.) Act 1985
“Offences in connection with alcohol on coaches and trains.
(1)This section applies to a vehicle which—
(a)is a public service vehicle or railway passenger vehicle, and
(b)is being used for the principal purpose of carrying passengers for the whole or part of a journey to or from a designated sporting event.
(2)A person who knowingly causes or permits intoxicating liquor to be carried on a vehicle to which this section applies is guilty of an offence—
(a)if the vehicle is a public service vehicle and he is the operator of the vehicle or the servant or agent of the operator, or
(b)if the vehicle is a hired vehicle and he is the person to whom it is hired or the servant or agent of that person.
(3)A person who has intoxicating liquor in his possession while on a vehicle to which this section applies is guilty of an offence.
(4)A person who is drunk on a vehicle to which this section applies is guilty of an offence.”9 August 2013 at 12:33 am #119068It amazes me how some people fail to understand the difference between having a conversation with their mates down the pub and posting on a public message board.

The best way to avoid an answer you don’t like is not to ask the question.
9 August 2013 at 1:59 am #119070I know the ideal way to get to Bournemouth and have a drink fly to Southampton then train to Bournemouth but you have to fly back sun DON`T DRINK AND TRAVEL BY COACH everyone knows that . :woohoo:

Sorry to hear that. If it’s come back you’ll need to use stronger stuff than what I gave you last; one with more heroin in it. Go to Smiths Pharmacy, 232 Scot Lane, Newtown, Wigan, wait until the shop’s empty, ask for Joe and he’ll give you some from under the counter. Keep it to yourself though.

Thanks. I’ll pick it some up when I’m on that bank job with the renowned fugitive One Eyed Tony Thomson. -
