If anyone knows of any illegal raves going on this weekend please let me know.

    I love a party.

    Thank you ;)
All done. Much better.

I sincerely hope that isn’t a dig at me, because by quoting my post it certainly looks as if it is?

You really are paranoid when it comes to anything I say, I highlighted your post beause you asked the “gobshites” I talk of to “spare a thought for the organisers of these trips” and added it may be harder for police to “turn a blind eye” when it is being openly discussed on a forum.
Well it seems your prediction came home to roost on Saturday and that is why I quoted you, although after your reply I do think the “gobshite” cap sits squarely on you head.
Jesus, get you!! You get involved in a couple of Darby and Joan charabanc outings to Wembley and now you think you’re Thomas Cook himself!

If indeed my prediction “came home to roost”, if it had anything to do with this thread at all then I would blame the idiot that started it, not the few sane people on the thread who tried to dissuade them from continuing the discussion.

And you seriously think that the authorities need a thread like this to help them with their intelligence gathering? If your coach trips have had their wings clipped in the manner you suggest, something really serious must have happened. What was it, did someone try to smuggle on too much Ovaltine, or something?

I think he was referring to your paranoia.

Anyway, lets not forget a well known member of the thin blue line is an avid supporter and follower on this forum. They dont need to appoint persons to scour forums, the police/fans can do it themselves.

Oh well, as long as he’s just calling me a paranoid gobshite, that’s alright then. ;)

I was saying you are paranoid when I say anything on here and automatically retort with an insult or argument, even when I am pointing out what you said was apt and proved to be true and I fully agree with it, that is how itwasbackintheday understood it and hopefully how others will read it.

But what the hell you feel the need to hide behind petty insults as you seem to do with anyone who doesn’t(or even does in this case) share your point of view.

For your information my opinion on this subject is nothing to do with organising my own coaches, it is in defence of a mate who has experienced a problem perhaps because of something that appeared on here, a view that he shares 100%.

So I ask – perfectly reasonably as you quoted my post, not remotely paranoid – if your post was a dig at me, you respond by calling me a gobshite yet I am the one that hides behind petty insults. Righto!

Anyway, I can’t be seen to be agreeing with you, the whole forum might break ;)

I’m not sure who the gobshites are here; the lad that naively asked if there were any coaches going to Bournemouth on which he could have a drink or the people that smashed the nut with the sledgehammer by quoting laws, rules and regulations or the people that took it to extremes by comparing the situation by publicly declaring they had a rash or were going to do a bank job or whatever.

    What a load of rubbish.

Which do you think is more likely to cause problems:

The “lad” asking what coaches could you have a drink on, and me replying that you legally can’t. To which he could have replied “Oh, fair enough then. Thanks for the info”, and someone else PM’ing him with details.

Or people who posted “Or you could just sit on your hands and not get involved. I believe it is illegal to pay cash or receive cash for services rendered without informing HM Inland Revenue of the on goings (foreigners) but they’re part of the fabric of society – a bit like having a drink on a bus on the way to a footie match.”

I know which my money’s on.

I’m not suggesting for a minute that anyone should send him ‘details’. I’m suggesting that if someone wishes to read chapter and verse of how the law stands on consumption of alcohol on passenger vehicles, they should maybe do it privately whilst suggesting it isn’t wise to broadcast on an open message board a request to find transport to a match on a vehicle that he can have a drink. Then maybe close the thread so as not to allow a load of bizarre and inappropriate analogies to be posted to bring further attention.

Is that less rubbish and more clear?

I thought my analogy was both useful and necessary given the difficulty some people had grasping what was appropriate on a public forum.

So I’m clear in my head. Why did the thread not get deleted if it was thought inaproprite and where exactly the coach that got lifted left from (area) please?

Why do you need to know that? Lifted? Who are you, Danny Dyer? ;)

Danny Dyer, I’ve hit bigger getting into a fight.

After Loudmouths post and the organiser agreeing 100% it’s because of this thread. I’d like to know how that comes about, that’s all.

The trouble at football these days is minimal compared with 20 years back, most private coach companies know the score & have a set of rules that work with a stop outside the given boundary keeping everybody happy, the police just want an easy shift generally so if we play by the rules mostly, they’re happy, this doesn’t mean they don’t have the occasional clamp down which is where these coaches have been unfortunate, they have let them off with a warning nothing more and unless the piss is taken big style or a coach is involved in trouble, the police will continue in this way I would think . We got stopped outside of white hart lane about 5 years back & I’ve never seen so much alcohol in one place, the result was a telling off & caution for the driver and organiser, the coaches didn’t become “marked” due to that .

I should follow that up by saying the coach involved stuck to the guidelines we know from then on .

You seem to have developed the same impediment as the one griff suffers from, making a statement based on opinion and not fact because you have not read what I wrote properly.

“For your information my opinion on this subject is nothing to do with organising my own coaches, it is in defence of a mate who has experienced a problem perhaps because of something that appeared on here, a view that he shares 100%”

The police have not indicated where the ‘information received’ they acted on came from, why would they, but it seems a very big coincidence that a coach is targeted when some on here chose to say “police turn a blind eye to alcohol on coaches” and others tell stories of blatant abuse of the law, then openly discuss that coaches are available that allow alcohol on board, how do you expect the police to react, and that coincidence is where the particular coach operator agrees with my post.
