Why the need for law and order on coaches verse 10? Surely the majority know already the legalities of drinking on the highways?
Doesn’t mean I don’t get plastered every away game I go to however I’m travelling.
Glad I don’t go with some of you lot, I’d be on suicide watch

What I don’t get is the headmaster treatment from the forum lecturers. Simply not required.

You might want to spare a thought for those that organise these trips. I’m not naive enough to think that that the authorities aren’t aware, and maybe they are are happy to let it slide under the radar, and if so, that’s great – common-sense prevailing. However, when someone raises it on a public forum it makes it harder for that blind eye to be turned.
So, I would suggest you’re still not really getting it.

9 August 2013 at 7:06 pm #119113You can drink on a train. They GIVE you it in First Class.

Can’t image why.

Just to inform all the “gobshites” that contributed to this thread a privately run coach to Bournemouth on Saturday was targeted and stopped by GMP’s finest, acting on information received, luckily the actions of the coach driver and the organiser prevented both of them and the coach firm facing a day in court.
The lasting and on going problem is the organiser of the trip has been ordered to report to GMP any future away trips he organises, where they leave from, their planned route, including any scheduled stop off points.
I hope realise your childish crap on here has spoiled it for others.

I sincerely hope that isn’t a dig at me, because by quoting my post it certainly looks as if it is?

It seems this particular operator has been targeted as a result of the “information received” being much more specific than whatever was posted in this thread.
21 August 2013 at 3:47 pm #119611I sincerely hope that isn’t a dig at me, because by quoting my post it certainly looks as if it is?You really are paranoid when it comes to anything I say, I highlighted your post beause you asked the “gobshites” I talk of to “spare a thought for the organisers of these trips” and added it may be harder for police to “turn a blind eye” when it is being openly discussed on a forum.
Well it seems your prediction came home to roost on Saturday and that is why I quoted you, although after your reply I do think the “gobshite” cap sits squarely on you head.21 August 2013 at 4:42 pm #119615I’m not sure who the gobshites are here; the lad that naively asked if there were any coaches going to Bournemouth on which he could have a drink or the people that smashed the nut with the sledgehammer by quoting laws, rules and regulations or the people that took it to extremes by comparing the situation by publicly declaring they had a rash or were going to do a bank job or whatever.
If anyone thinks that the police don’t know for a minute that this sort of thing goes on all of the time at every ‘private’ travel company that runs coaches/minibuses for every club, maybe they’re being a little naive. It gets used a lot on this board but ‘Hitler Invades Poland’ springs to mind.
I don’t know how high on the police’s priority list catching coaches with booze on them is but I’d guess they don’t deploy someone to scour football message boards to nail them.
As far as the original poster goes, maybe one or more of the people that allowed it to get really silly could have said ‘Oi mate, don’t be posting that on here, have a look at the private message I’ve sent you’ rather than throw fuel on the fire.

It could easily have been deleted if anyone thought it had gone too far.
As for the information received, could you point me to the right place I should be looking? Is it in the away travel section?21 August 2013 at 5:18 pm #119620If anyone knows of any illegal raves going on this weekend please let me know.
I love a party.

Apologies but was this meant to be funny, witty, sarcastic, sardonic, provocative, all or none of the previous? Delete as appropriate. Thank you ;)
