think thats a question for the ladies on here ;)
5 June 2013 at 5:47 pm #115420Bruce – but I’d need to move to a seat higher up in the stand. ;)
5 June 2013 at 5:55 pm #115421Here’s a poser.Would you prefer Bruce or Coyle?
Personally, I’d prefer Coyle.
Bruce’s style of play doesn’t attract young players to a club, and we can’t afford to spend like we have done in the past.
Coyle gets his teams playing decent football.
And forget Coyle’s Bolton connection. Al Habsi, Per Frandsen, Emerson Thome, Scott Green, Bruce Rioch all played for/managed Bolton.
5 June 2013 at 6:17 pm #115422When you think about it, Bruce is a logical choice. Whelan clearly values a strong working relationship between him and his managers which he had with Martinez and had with Bruce, it would take a long time to forge that with a new man. Bruce has also displayed he’s capable of taking teams up (Brum twice and Hull) and has also taken a team immediately back up following relegation (Brum ’07).
I’m not saying he’d be my choice, but he certainly ticks a few boxes.
5 June 2013 at 6:38 pm #115423When Bruce left and was replaced with Martinez it heralded a change in direction for the club. Out went the policy of signing established players and journeymen on inflated wages and in came the philosphy of bringing younger players to the club and the promise of an academy to further this development.
I can’t believe Whelan will go back to the previous regime under Bruce even if he may have put the academy on hold pending a return to the Premiership. And I can’t believe Bruce would want to work under the current structure and financial restraints which, if the stories are to be believed, was the reason he left us back in 2009.

No I don’t And while we are talking about bruce I will nail my colours to the mast, I don’t want him back as manager either.
Evreything I have always posted about bruce is because of the shit posted about him on here, I will say this again because you in particular don’t seem to hear.
Bruce was not as bad as many on here make out he was and martinez was not half as good as you also claimed.
6 June 2013 at 12:58 am #115469Bruce had Eric Black as number 2, and I think he was top drawer in that role.
A Bruce-Black partnership again would be OK for me.
6 June 2013 at 12:58 am #115470Don’t see anybody becoming manager for seven days at least didn’t DW say he his having a four day break in Jersey I would think it will be begining of next week before a real contender can be named all it is now are media speculation and daft folk throwing money at bookies

6 June 2013 at 2:01 am #115481I think most reasonable people could put bad feelings aside for Bruce and agree his record for getting teams promoted from the championship could be invaluable.
will he ever bring domestic success and European qualification as Martinez did?
I very much doubt it….
6 June 2013 at 2:07 am #115482I personally didn’t like the way Bruce left us when he went to Sunderland.
There was no reason in the world to come out with the Harrods- Tesco comment whichever way you want to interpret it, he dissed our club in his first fekin interview, the twort. Then within weeks he had the audacity to come straight back to tescos for Catts and Bramble.
No Bruce for me please, new era, new challenges, new hope, totally new manager please! :)
From Matlock to ManU

agree with your anti Bruce sentiments but I honestly can’t think of anyone better to get us out the championship.
like I said before though its a complete non story IMO.
he didn’t sign bramble til the season after he left BTW …
I am still having nightmares about brambles terrible long passes under martinez…
