If were looking to give our club a kick start & give the players as much support as they deserve, and move onto this exciting new wigan level. Then from the start of next season. Us 10,000 loyal season ticket holders buy our tickets as usual, but get a free ticket from ticket office for mate/son/daughter/wife etc for any home game…… at last wigan gets 20,000 deserved home fans EVERY week, will be an extra insentive for the fans who buy match tickets per game, to buy a season ticket from next year to be sure they can see EVERY home game
2 February 2010 at 2:05 am #20903They’d have to put prices up to maybe £300 but what a good idea, top of the class that man !

Loyal fans & me for sure would pay £300 to watch the team in my heart next year. But it would be a sure sell out EVERY week ! Everyone loves freebies, imagine free wigan tickets for the LOYAL ;) bring on next season with 20,000 a week :P
2 February 2010 at 2:18 am #20907dont want to p i s s on your parade, but it wont work, what about the supporter who buys is ticket from the office because he cant pay up front,i know people from springy days who still do it due to work commitments
2 February 2010 at 2:24 am #20909What about the guy who goes with his brother/father/sister/wife already and both have season tickets? Wouldn’t they just buy one season ticket instead of two and save loads of money?

For money sake !! We average 14,000 home fans which gives us a return @ current prices of = £3.9 million in home fans profits !
If we sold 10,000 season tickets for £300 with a free ticket for every game included. we would bring in = £3 million profits with 20,000 home fans a week take your pick people :?:

owdgit !
It all depends on how loyal you/brother/wife etc are to wigan. Because the system would work as 1st come 1st served basis for the free tickets in accordance with your season ticket! Eg, if you aint got a season ticket yourself along with your brother/wife/son etc you most likely wont be watching your beloved wigan you most prob wont have a seat to sit in as free tickets will be gone to season ticket holders along with the 4-5 k that buy tickets per game !! And when you turn up for your ticket you’ll see above SOLD OUT ……..2 February 2010 at 2:40 am #20915You wouldn’t be able to sit with said brother/wife/dad/friend though cos most seats together are taken.
2 February 2010 at 2:44 am #20917You wouldn’t be able to sit with said brother/wife/dad/friend though cos most seats together are taken.Got to agree with that 100%. I’ve never taken advantage of any offers because my seat is surrounded by other ST holders. If I’m going to bring someone else to a game I’d want them sitting with us.
I’d create a family ticket for the South, or even a family ST.

The Egg.
True to the point fella  but if you / brother / wife / dad / mum got a ticket for your other relations who don’t already go but want to sit together in another part of the 6 thousand seat available every week they can sit together for free – along with getting magic 20k every game
2 February 2010 at 2:53 am #20920A couple of seasons ago when Villa moved the away fans from behind the goals, they got home fans to fill that section by offering dirt cheap season tickets. Offer really cheap family season tickets for the south and you’ll get people in.

Putting the south stand season tickets up for say £100 per season with buy one get one free scheme in place would work for sure and most likely fill a 5 thousand stand of what should be the highlight of scoring in front of come the second half of home games ! Sorry to say as of the moment as we all know, when we do score in front of the south stand the players celebrate to the sight of empty seats :( surly their is home fans sell out tactic, i mean we are only 6 thousand short on average crowds to filling our ground. And that extra six thousand could be the difference the dw becoming a fortress and not. I am NOT being negative in any way on this post, its just i feel their is an easy way to get the extra 6 thousand needed to fill our great ground for little wigan ;) i’ve a big feeling no doubt, We will have some serious changes coming our way summer 2010 for ticket pricing of games & season ticket renewal prices :D
Come on wigan lets move on together ;)
2 February 2010 at 3:41 am #20926No need to bu**er about with freebies, just have a proper affordable price structure something akin to this:
£23 for adults £10 for kids and concessions in East & West Central.
£20 Adults and £8 kids and concessions in the wings.
£15 Adults and £5 kids and concessions in the South Stand.
No category A,B,C, same price for every match determined only by where you sit.
Further incentives i.e. Season tickets, double season tickets, family season tickets etc could also be worked out.
For the North Stand, charge away fans the same price that we are charged for visiting their grounds, If Chelsea charge us £49 then charge them £49 to cet on our ground.
2 February 2010 at 3:42 am #20927For the North Stand, charge away fans the same price that we are charged for visiting their groundsNow THAT I agree with
