The crowds were dropping before Bobby came in. If you dont like what you see dont bother going! You are as boring as some of the football we have to endure. Youre like a vulture ready to jump on its prey with the anti Martinez rant everytime we put in a bad performance.
Losing fans by the hundreds??? I don’t think Latics fans are counted by the “hundreds” mate.
And I might be wrong but I don’t think telling the owner that his management team and playing staff are shyte is the best approach for the CEO, his team and a collection of rational, passionate local fanzine leaders to adopt when trying to get things improved
-i know of a least 4 season ticket holders that chose to watch the game on tv yesterday -the reduced attendance figures speak volumes – cheapest in the league, people still dont go people who have paid up front dont bother, local schools dishing out freebies, but nobody wants them and when you take up an offer for a cheap ticket for somebody to accompany a season ticket holder ask that same person next time – they dont want to know
Are you sure you are talking of long standing supporters or are you making it up as you go along of course the TV will make a difference on attendentces I spoke to a guy at the match who paid £28 for that game when he could of watched in the pub for nowt.
I would say he his more of a supporter than the loosley veiled long standing supporter you speak of
I don’t think this is just a WAFC thing.
Premiership football this season has been a big disappointment generally, and many clubs are seeing a downturn in their attendances. However, it’s nigh impossible to persuade people to come to games when they can been viewed every week in local pubs and clubs and you are the lowest scorers in the league. And saving one of the the poorest perfomances of the season for Sky holiday weekend viewing doesn’t help either. When it comes to shooting itself in the foot Wigan Athletic does it better than most.

i fully agree griff but dont you think that perhaps if we gave people something other than rank boredom we would not be hemorrhaging supporters the way we are.
Has Sammy said it’s not just a WAFC thing other clubs attendences are down due to extreme prices in some cases even Utd are advertising tickets in papers and local radio ,Liverpool down ten thousend last home match

it is monday —– honestly
i actually met someone who had paid full wack for a ticket as well yesterday – perhaps it was the same one as yours – he was along term fan as well – you know what he said to me “last effing time i pay to watch that rubbish until martinez has gone”
in actual fact thats not quite true it was perhaps a “loosley veiled statement” i actually was listening into someone elses conversation at the bar.
The stats you quote are for newly promoted teams, not teams who have been in this league for the number of years we have. The official stats over the last 8 years say differently: http://www.transferleague.co.uk
6 seasons in the premier league is an amazing achievement for a club that can only average 12,000 home fans FFS. Do some of you expect to be here in another 6 years when attendances are so low? You must be deluded!
We averaged a lot more than 12000 home fans until Bob became boss and bored everyone to death.
Think he could take us forward. Would very much like to see him given a while. We won’t go down and he may sign some good uns in Jan.. You never know :)
wasn’t that what his supporters were saying this time 12 months ago ?
oh and the need to clear the deadwood that bruce had signed was mentioned as well
well the deadwood has gone and its now martinez’s men in place – so where is the improvement i keep being told of[/quote]
2010-2011 19 games – 20 points
2009-2010 19 games – 19 points
2008-2009 19 games – 23 points
2007-2008 19 games – 16 points
2006-2007 19 games – 19 points
And your point is?
Looking at this, it is the best points tally for all but one of our last 5 seasons!

you should do your research thoroughly into the subject before making a fool of yourself.
these are the actual points totals
2010/11 19 games 20 points
2009/10 19 games 19 points
2008/9 19 games 28 points – bruce pre the big sale
2007/8 19 games 16 points -hutchins(4pts bruce)
2006/07 19 games 22 points -jewell 2nd season
my point is
the only man who’s points total was slightly worse than martinez was sacked after 17 games despite the fact his team played better football than the rubbish served up now – he didnt get ousted out of both cup competitions, a 4-1 hammering from a championship side or 2 disgraceful murderings against a 3rd division side – he didnt get hammered 9-1, 8-0,5-0 twice or 4-0 against the team that was bottom all season
jewell suffered from second season syndrome and had lost much of his 1st. season squad.
now you asked what my point was – i think i will ask again—— what improvements can you see ?
What is it with you and calling the mods on this board? Serioulsy i would have thought the holiday you had would have learned you something?
what on earth are you talking about who has called anyone ?
if a person uses statistics to make a point , is it not a perfectly legitimate observation that when those facts are wrong they are making a fool of themselves

So calling a mod a fool is acceptable? or even a grade a tosser ;)
Has any mod ever called you a fool or a grade a tosser?
