I didn’t think it was a free kick but by know means was it the worst decision I have ever seen. Soft at worst but should never have led to a 4-1 thumping against a poor Sunderland side who had run themselves into the ground 48 hours earlier.

So immature you. People have reasons as to why they don’t go, Im 26 started going in 1993 and from about 1996 onwards i very rarely missed a game and probably went to quarter of aways in a season, Not just the north-west ones. It’s funny when you look at it. I loved every minute of getting to the Premiership, No doubt. Now we are here though and there is no ambition any more and no prospect of wanting to finish up the table its now boring. Obviously we cant get promoted any more and all our owner wants us to do is scrape 17th position expecting people to just accept it. That doesn’t appeal to me, I can get excitement watching or playing football on the amateur pitches for £250 less the cost. I don’t think a return of 2 or 3 home wins is worth £250. The love of football has gone now and it’s just an interest these days or something to watch in the pub. Funny how i must have paid thousands in the past to watch lower league football but now we are in the supposedly best league in the world i don’t find it fun or enjoyable any more.

Don’t spout to people like me zoggy, james, whoever you are. I have paid my way to watch good and crap, paid to go to the cup games when we wanted them. But now the club has given up wanting to win so have i.

Suppose you could say im a glory hunter but in reverse.

yosser, you clearly ARE a glory hunter
you managed to go to games from 1996 onwards when things were more or less continuously on the up and we were involved in a promotion battle every season
now we don’t win more than we lose (which is obviously less fun and less enjoyable than it used to be) you refuse to go
it’s your money and it’s up to you whether you go or not but please don’t profess to still being a supporter when you quite clearly are not

If you want to think it was “because we’re shit and Roberto is a muppet” then fine, but I offer the alternative view that we had to open up a bit because we were chasing the game a goal behind, and that the perceived injustice of their first goal affects the mood of the players.

What about the other games in which we dominate possession yet create less chances than our opponents? We knock the ball around well at times and it’s all good, but the facts are we don’t trouble the keeper enough, we don’t score enough goals and we can’t defend.

I’ve been on the light side for 2 and a half years thinking that it will come good and someone will get a hiding. The problem is, it’s usually us.

I’ll be there on Monday night, in fact I won’t miss another home game and will throw in the odd away game as well. I’ll still be there next season no matter what division we’re in and I’ll get behind the team whilst I’m there, but I’ve had enough of taking the positives when quite frankly there are none.

The original poster more or less sums up what many of have been saying in one post and whilst I admire the attempts at begging to differ you really cant get away from all those valid points ! I honestly cannot believe how some people actually see positives but that’s just my view ! The team has regressed and the stats and current league position don’t really say anything else do they ! We could be the first team to get relegated purely on bad luck and bad ref decisions !!

I think the original poster might be contributing to this thread…

What a cretin, Im clearly NOT though am i, I cant help when i was born can i, And it was 93 not 96, 3 years before we went up. I never supported Man Utd, Liverpool etc, I chose Wigan, I still support them, Doesn’t mean i have to go, Im not happy with things and don’t get value for money so i wont go. I support my sister in her job but i don’t have to be there while she does it. I support Judd Trump in snooker but i don’t go cheering him on, I support getting foreigners out of this country who shouldn’t be here but i don’t throw them into the sea.

I don’t care what you think anyway, Rugby starts in a few weeks anyway, Bring it on, Cant bloody wait.

if you hadn’t gave your age, i would say that your post’s resemble that of a man going through a mid-life crisis. If your going to the steroid egg clodders, can i make a few suggestions so that you don’t stand out in the crowd like a sore thumb :

            Don’t wear designer clobber.

sing songs/chants that originate from the football terraces.

            drink “bitter” (like their attitude).

sit down all game until someone crosses a line with egg in hand and falls over it.

go back and forth to the food kiosk 4 times per game.

reminisce about the bygone times when W.A.F.C were struggling.

wear a replica top over a primark jumper, (size xxl obviously).

allow yourself to be brainwashed in the pub pre-kick off by some old, sweat/pish stinking clog wearing geezer who went to st pat’s. Who honestly believes rugger league is the biggest sport on the planet.

I shall watch my team who actually play the biggest sport on planet earth. Attend games home/away with civilized, MODERN people who look to the future not the past -X-

Don’t patronize me. I have supported both all my life and will continue to do so. When the Warriors were doing crap at least they were trying to do something about it. The Latics have given up and our chairman wants to either go down or finish 17th. Not acceptable, If we go down we deserve to go down again for the naivety of Whelan.

Depends on your definition of designer, I don’t wear Armani e.t.c if thats what you mean.

Im a lager man, Sometimes have a real ale depending where i am.

            I don’t sing unless i have had a drink

Yes i cheer when a try is scored. Thats the whole point

My replica top is filled with my upper body core, I don’t need anything underneath to make me look stocky.

I must be victorian then me, The only modern sport in the world is football. Funny how you say that but to me it’s the only sport in the world that is going backwards.

Im done with this forum, Too many little kids acting the big man.
