A team 7th in the league (4 points from champions league place) who have won 4 on the bounce at home which includes beating the current leaders Man Utd were never going to be an easy proposition with all of our centre halves out. It may be disappointing but it’s hardly a surprise. As long as we are in touch come April we will be fine!

So therefore using the Norwich excuse ( Like all the others before it ) we will get nothing against Arsenal ( Big club 8th and only lost 1 in last 6 just brushed aside WBA who were flying high ) Nothing against Everton ( Tough place to go and Champions League contenders for next season ) Forget Villa then ( Unbeaten in last 6 just hammered Liverpool at Anfield ) Oh and Man Utd ( No need to give a reason for this one ! ) No surprise then to get nil points from the next 4 games ?

I didn’t think we’d get anything from the game purely on the basis that I can’t remember ever beating Norwich.

To say there are never any easy games is a retrospective comment usually used by managers on the back foot post match. I hope to God RM isn’t drilling it into the players before games ! ;)

To think that is naive to say the least RM takes all the flack for lost matches and merely defends his players to the cameras like fergie does it is what a manager does

You are missing my point ! I was saying that it is easy to say no games are easy just after a loss if you don’t really have an excuse but it is not something that a manager should be saying before a game ( Not that I suggested that )

Spurs away.

Well now !!
Some have dared to question martinez ability again so it prompts pricks* like you to take a cheap shot at someone not involved any more in your squabbles, how dare anybody think differently to the ‘in crowd’ on here.
Your defence of your hero is so very predictable.

You’d have more credibility if you came on here more often, you know, not only after we’ve lost and along with all your other “every time we lose” posting mates. It’s so tedious.

And you really do have a good old inferiority complex thing going on, don’t you? It’s understandable, but a shame nonetheless.
now mr know it all show me one post on here where I have been on here to discus any football subjects either after defeats or victories in the past 8 months.

What really is “tedious” is letting your vitriolic opinion get in the way of facts.
I perhaps do have a slight inferiority complex but I will take that any day of the week compared to your superiority complex.
Normal transmission has now resumed ;)

Chill out. Things will be ok, we will still have a club to watch, still have the craic, still have a pint and still be able to put a football coupon on on a Saturday, and hope that our day pans out ok. I return to the uk after living abroad for 6 years next summer. And will get to go and watch my hometown team whatever league they are in. Maybe the prem, maybe the championship. Whichever league it is you will still scream ‘get in’ when we score a goal.

What will be will be, bob or not bob it doesn’t matter. People are trying, it just isn’t going well. Would you have been happy losing at spurs, and beating Norwich for the same net result? It ain’t over yet by a long way. If you keep telling someone they are Sh1te eventually they start to believe it, performances drop off because they expect to be sh1tr, and motivation spirals downward. Performance = motivation x opportunity x reward. As can be seen by this, it’s not a fantastic opportunity for a player to play for Wigan fighting relegation each year, and the reward we offer is nowhere near what others can offer. So we need to increase motivation to get the performance we want, it’s a straight multiplier, and is the only thing the fans can affect from the above. This works in any walk of life. So lets discuss bob and his time here in the negative sense once he has moved on

be it now, next season, 5 seasons.

My take on all of this is a positive one.
Martinez teams are inconsistent but amazingly he has bettered the previous total points tally in each of his three seasons since he came here.
Why should this season be any different?
By the time we get to january we will have most of the injured players back and maybe one or two new signings and the other clubs like West Brom, Norwich and Swansea will be wallowing in the ‘were safe’mode and start to slip a bit.We will start to get more positive results as we have we have always done under this manager although they wont be where we expect them as always!
Looking forward to the Arsenal game!!!!

Was anyone else appalled at Ronald Mcdonald’s performance at RWB on Saturday?

Crossing was some of the worst I have seen in football and if he cant get a few good crosses in then he really is useless.

Cant help but think with a few more crosses in the box then Boselli might of put one away and it could of been a very different game.

But there was no service for him at all.

Beaussajor again marked out of the game with nothing to do but sideways pass to Figueroa…

The best thing about the 3-4-3 formation was the wing backs having plenty of space and time to stick a ball in the box but they just don’t seem to be getting that nowadays.

Poor form or smart marking by opposition it might be time for a change of formation :(

:(

Couldn’t agree more, both strikers (especially Kone) had to come deep to get the ball cos no service what so ever..

Appleybridge ?

Mark it’s never my fault the ref gave us nothing Hughes ???

Do me a favour

He got a team in the bottom three by wasting millions and your questioning bobs dogy deals

LOWEY,

I Apologise for taking time to respond.

No Lowey, my point was that Mark Hughes is practically all that is available at the moment, unless you look at the likes of Souness or Keegan. After that, it’s a case of nicking another manager from another club, and it’s not going to be a Premiership club, is it?

I don’t think Hughes is a bad manager, but yes, I agree his manner with the media, etc is not a very palatable one.

My point was basically suggesting that whilst some may want a change of manager, it could be a case of ‘out of the fryng pan and into the fire’, so to speak.

And no, I don’t think we’d be better off without Martinez, at this time.
