Can understand your point of view Galactic just like I could understand James McCleans right to live up to his principals but how can you critisise Whelan for using a derogatory term and use an offensive word like Loon yourself.
I wasn’t actually referring to DW’s comment abotu Jews, but you’re right Donny and I apologise for that. I know it’s not an excuse, but I honestly, genuinely did not know that the term “loon” was offensive.
If people dont like it dont bother turning up its simple. Move onIt’s not a matter of if Wigan supporters find it offensive, it’s if the general public, potential sponsors and the FA find it offensive.
DW has said some f’cking stupid things in his time, but f’ck me, this is by far the worst.
AS I’ve said here the appointment would always cause controversy but if the wins start to come and we move up the league or progress in the cup or God forbid get promoted then the sponsors will come flooding back.
The right thing to do at the minute is to criticise the move and that will give them the best publicity. If things go right then the best publicity will be to align yourself with a club that’s going places.
