Bruges also has a seaport at Zeebrugge that connects directly to Hull if anybody fancies the ferry.
Could be an option. 2 negatives make a positive….ferries and Hull
Still waiting for club travel arrangements [/quote]
I wouldn’t expect them until tomorrow.
I hope its not just flight on Thursday morning, straight back to the airport after the game.
May have to sort this out myself.
30 August 2013 at 8:08 pm #120215Coaches are likely to go Dover-Calais.
Bruges is 70 miles (an hour and a quarter) from Calais.
30 August 2013 at 9:01 pm #120224Gutted that I am on holiday for the Bruges fixture. Went to Bruges and Brussels for a few days last year.
Flights to Brussels are fairly cheap. Hotels in Brussels and Bruges are also fairly reasonably priced. Bruges is about 1 hour on the train from Brussels. Good (and extremely strong) beer is plentiful anywhere in Belgium. Bruges is very picturesque and well worth a look around but you will struggle to find too many bars open for long after the game.
For those who like a post match night out check out when the last train to Brussels is. Decent nightlife and cheaper hotels than most European capitals. Beware 10% beer is the norm and makes for an almighty hangover.
In Bruges is compulsory viewing beforehand.

31 August 2013 at 3:00 am #120263Take some travel sick pills. why not fly of Eurostar?
31 August 2013 at 3:09 am #120265Price.
TBH I was perfectly happy with Eurostar but travelling partners looked at £60 for ferry and £150 to just get to Brussels and went for the ferry.
1 September 2013 at 12:43 am #120292Eurostar return & 2 nights in a hotel in centre of Bruges £247…. very happy bunny B)
1 September 2013 at 3:40 am #120297Just booked Eurostar and two nights in Bruges for £522 for two adults and two kids (16 and 13) cant beat that.
Will need to drive to London to get the train though.
Just hope we get tickets now !!!!!!!!2 September 2013 at 2:17 pm #120354When are you travelling Gents?
I’m looking at Weds afternoon/evening with a night in Brussels followed by a leisurely trip to Bruges on the Thursday plus 2 nights there.
I’m taking my 3yo lad and the wife and it seems the easiest option and certainly more cost efficient than the plane as he’s free from Wigan to Bruges! -
