I know how many tickets actually went on sale this morning it was less than a 100. The rest were taken by corporate, the club and sponsors well before this morning. The second batch were are actual allocation.

Yep you’re right he didn’t get a ticket, and my rant at the time was because of people jumping on the promotion bandwagon, and folk who hadn’t been to an away match all season got tickets for Blackpool (away)
All im saying is rather than faff around online and on the phone at work of all places, book an hour off work, get down to the DW early and you get a ticket.

Must admit today is the first time ever I’ve had to do a lot of messing about to get my tickets on line, that includes all the wemberley trips.
I wanted 4 tickets – 2 adults, one over 65 and one for my 7 year old grandson. I personally didn’t agree with season ticket holders getting the chance of two tickets. Just because someone had bought tickets previously should not have given them the chance of a ticket before a season card holder. Its ludicrous in my opinion and can fully understand why many fans are angry and disappointed.
I would have willingly accepted the fact that my grandson missed out on a ticket due to season ticket holders getting first choice.
My personal gripe was that my grandson who has been to about 6 matches over the last two seasons including two away trips, has no previous buying history on the system. He is not old enough to buy his own tickets so his dad and me have always got them for him. The ticket office could look on their system and see that I have previously bought tickets for a minor.
It would not allow me to buy more than one ticket per client code and would not let me buy an under 16’s ticket on an adult season ticket.
The only way I got him a ticket today was to borrow a season card from someone who can’t go, and buy him an adult ticket.
The ticket office acknowledged this problem when I contacted them and are taking it up with the Website Administrator.From Matlock to ManU

I only say this to point out the club are in a no win situation with this subject. When there is a demand some fans will always miss out.

Whereas a season ticket holder can prove he’s paid to attend every home game.
It’s the same at every club.

5500 would have been next but too late now. I don’t get all this ‘run the risk of Utd fans in our end” lark. We are not the only club to ever have played at Old Trafford, how does every other club manage to ensure the tickets go to their fans?
There are no more Utd fans in Wigan than there are in any other local town or none local town for that matter, so how is it that in Wigan the Utd fans would get the tickets and not Latics fans?
