26 December 2019 at 3:51 pm #183244Hopefully he plays, windass replaces one of massey, jacobs or lowe and we play as we are now.
There is no reason why we can’t continue to play as we have recently with Moore in the team. How they set up and try to play is solely down to the Manager and his tactics etc.
Like you say, move Windass out to replace Massey, and bring Pilkington in to replace Jacobs.
Maybe even give Garner a start over Lowe.We would also have a strong bench consisting of any of the following – Marshall, Massey, Jacobs, Dunkley, Garner/Lowe, Williams, Gelhart, McLoed, Sterling, Mulgrew and Fox etc.
26 December 2019 at 4:53 pm #183245There must be changes today from the Blackburn game, I suggest four or five, Sterling, Dunkley, Moore, plikington and Williams to come in to rotate
26 December 2019 at 8:42 pm #183246Get in……come on lads. Results going our way so far. Only real striker Available and it shows….hang in now.

26 December 2019 at 9:41 pm #183264Never felt as gutted after a game in my life.
Played really well today, some of the best football I’ve seen from the team for a while. Great goal from Garner which should have won the game and then booosh, can’t defend a corner. I’m not angry with the players or management after watching that, just gutted for them.
Will we turn the corner?, still not sure. From Matlock to ManU

Will we turn the corner?, still not sure.We have to sack him. Have to. First jalf was very good, but a lack of a final ball or finishing touch.
Second half wasnt as good, but they raised their game. I thought we had won that when we scored. Enter Mr Substitution and a calamitous feck up. Making defensive changes when defending a long throw into your box…Christ thats rank amateur! 5 in defence and yet Waghorn was totally unmarked for his goal.
Criminal.
26 December 2019 at 11:22 pm #183275He’s not going anywhere, trust me. Point from safety, playing well, unbeaten in 4. Someone offers Dunkley for Jacobs on a corner I don’t see problem. Morsy lost his man. It’s concentration of players not Cook that we can’t hold lead. Desperately need a decent striker to finish chances created and we will be fine.

But you never make a substitution before a set piece.
27 December 2019 at 12:06 am #183286You don’t take a weak in air left winger off for a commanding centre half prior to a set piece?
27 December 2019 at 12:50 am #183289Does anyone praise his subs if we hang on seeing as one of them scored? No, probably not.
I said on monday that our final ball and shooting accuracy is dreadful. Today underlined it.
27 December 2019 at 12:57 am #183292Its only Forest and Birmingham away next..nothing to worry about, really.
Lets all relax, shall we?

He should be starting and Windass playing in midfield after all he isn’t a striker. Pilks Lowe and Cracker could all be dropped to make way for Windass. He would be ideal to back up and support the sad and lonely striker.

It’s frustrating as hell seeing great play finish with a tame shot straight at the keeper that doesn’t even sting his hands, or the sort of dreadful ball like the one from Windass when Pilkington was unmarked.
