Watched Lee Mack in concert last night and he was so funny. Not many can pull off the live stuff the same as tv but he was really funny ! One of the highlights was …..
We put Grandad in a home after Grandma died as he wasn’t coping. Anyhow after a couple of days we rang to see how he was doing. The woman on the other end said that he was like a fish out of water to which I replied ” So he’s not adapting ” and she replied ” No he’s dead ” !! :D Classic !!
6 May 2010 at 1:04 am #32070I went seeing Lee Mack a month or so ago and it was a bit meh. Did he do the magician bit where he got an audience member in the box? I liked that bit, but a lot of it was repetitive aside from the interaction with the audience.

6 May 2010 at 1:11 am #32073I missed the last fifteen!
Where did you see him? He is at is very best when just talking to people that are in the audience but too many of his jokes follow the standard ‘build-it-up *people see the punch line coming* punch line’ format.
6 May 2010 at 1:17 am #32075I didnt watch him live it was on tele !! What I meant was his live act was funny and some tv funny guys dont always make the tranisition from tv to stage with the same success as Lee Mack IMHO !
6 May 2010 at 2:14 am #32085i allways think that comedians come over better on tv then seeing them live .unless your near the front and can see there facial expressions.i saw sean locks stand up on tv and i thought he was funny. yes phil i have seen lee macks stand up on tv and he is funny but not that sitcom thing he was in.
6 May 2010 at 5:58 pm #32151Been to see Jimmy Carr and Lee Evans live (Both not too long back) and were both hilarious. Especially Jimmy Carr :D …I would recommend watching Jimmy Crar live to anyone (unless easily offended that is)

That said, I’m no prude but some of his Paedo jokes were a bit close to the edge

Where did you go watch him?
You mean the peado jokes about shaven pubes and shall we say the possibility of it being a somewhat ‘younger’ girl, kind of jokes? :roll:6 May 2010 at 6:13 pm #32156Been to see Jimmy Carr and Lee Evans live (Both not too long back) and were both hilarious. Can’t remember the specifics but I just remember some very close to the knuckle stuff. The easily offended should definitely not go to see him, yuou’re right.
6 May 2010 at 6:46 pm #32160I saw Jim Davidson a few years ago. He was good. Didn’t pull any punches, but he was pretty much same as on TV.

Why is he? He was sound, actually.
Listen mate, I don’t do all these modern ‘trendy’ comedians, such as Man-fat, Jimmy Carr (funny as dogmuck), and all them. They aren’t funny.
All this ‘new style’ comedy is a load of rubbish.

However, first time I saw him had great seats near front when in came young ‘johnny’ with his gran sat in front of us and said “just like he is on the telly”……………..I couldn’t contain myself.
Jim would have made Blaster Bates blush…….granny nearly had an apoplectic fit.
Laugh?………I thought my pants would never dry.
