Fantastic, who else would score for us today against those arrogant gets. Fantastic.
30th league goal for us for Nick Powell, he is 16th on the all time list and has only started 73 games.
If we can match Villa for 94 minutes we’ll be alright against most teams. On another day we would have come away with a point, but it wasn’t to be today.
Confidence in this league comes with winning games.hope cookie can lift um for forest game that be harder than the villa game .
Gutted to lose an injury time goal. However on the plus side, it seemed we were really going for it (as were villa) – part of cook’s going for it policy perhaps?
As has been stated, matching one of the favourites for 94 mins would have earned a draw on another day. Perhaps a lesson learned for cook this game. When away from home & time is almost up, just play to settle for the point.
F in cruel that and didn’t deserve it, Villa won’t have a harder game all season but we just can’t defend crosses.
Can see there being a lot more high scoring games…..keeper very poor on crosses,but don’t we miss Dan Burn ???….I think result would have been different had he been playing. All in all not suicidal, play like that and we will win a lot more games and entertain along the way !!!
2 games in and 5 goals conceded! Needs addressing and quickly!To be expected with a brand new back 4 who have been at the club a week. It will tighten up.
Hard to take had we drawn really having fought back and then conceded an OG but as people have said, pushing Villa all the way is a positive and we can take great confidence from it depsite the result.
2 games in and 5 goals conceded! Needs addressing and quickly!Ok not brill on that front however there was no Byrne or Burn in defence or Power as defensive midfield and we more or less matched them despite their multi million pound line up.
Also the side was made up with players who basicly havnt played together that much yet so give them time and we should be reet.
