Got to confess – I used to be but it’s short on atmosphere. Only downside is young Philip and his ilk are too close. I bet the guy behind me is LMB
PS No need to profile Philip, I could take his picture for anyone interested.
31 January 2010 at 3:34 am #20621Cripes fella…..

31 January 2010 at 4:29 am #20641…. that was today apart from the result. Two teams having a go and playing neat football in the process. After watching the shoite at meadow lane and Ewood that was a breath of fresh air. Play like that for the rest of the season and we’ll be alright.
Just need Scotland and Rodallega to get their shooting boots on!!JR, I agreed 100%.
Scotland did everything right, except score. A lot of the morons on here will dispute that though, and I bet they are the same people who disliked Heskey.
31 January 2010 at 4:33 am #20644Roberto made a mistake taking him off.
It was from that point, about 75 minutes was it?, that Everton upped it a gear, as they had less to keep them occupied. In no way, is Rodallega capable of the ‘lone front man’ role.
No need to make the changes when he did. I think ultimately, it cost us.
31 January 2010 at 4:37 am #20646Vat, I said that about Rodallega a while back, but a lot of people disagreed.
You need size and strength to play that role, and Rodallega has neither.

Roberto’s said it himself. I tell you what now, if potato head came tomorrow with a ‘fair’ offer for Rodallega……I’d sell him. Honestly. Not that I think he’s a bad player, but i don’t think he fits what Roberto is looking for in his system
.
And with us said to be close to signing Victor Moses, who plays on the left for Palace, Rodallega could see himself sat on the bench soon. And if he’s not happy now at playing on the left, he’ll be less happy sat on the bench.I think he’s one of them players who will net 10, maybe 12 a season. Half or 3 quarters will be cracking goals, but the bread and butter chances and the ‘one on one’ through on the keeper chances, he’ll fluff.
31 January 2010 at 11:04 am #20655The comments and points raised by the V100s yesterday would be 99% behind what 99% of posters on this thread have said. Especially about our chances disappearing when Scotland went off. Was he injured?
Bob, your sibling loyalty to Fil is admirable, but it must be hard work at times. “Taxi for Jackson”, “I rest my case”; I think we have found the new Peter Kay
31 January 2010 at 12:40 pm #20657Great football match? I was bored shitless from start to finish (for about the 8th time this season) and got excited once when Charlie hit the bar and that was the 93rd fuc*ing minute.
Why oh why did we all stand up when Scotland broke through? You just knew the outcome.

Very occasionally Dave, you get it absolutely spot on. I said it was a mistake as Scotland was going off and my worst fears materialised. I’m not one to knock Roberto but he got the substitution completely wrong yesterday. It was obvious what Moyes was doing but it drew the wrong response from him.
Prior to going off, I thought Scotland was having a fantastic game (yes – I know he missed a couple of chances again !) whilst Hugo couldn’t trap a bag of cement for some reason.
31 January 2010 at 2:29 pm #20677When it comes to football Owd Git, I do actually know my stuff.
My outspoken approach and occasional micky taking however, is much to my detrement. I’m trying to curb this trait of mine.
Hugo Rodallega seems to have ‘gone’. I’ve heard people saying his confidence is low because of his missed penalties. I think it might be more than that, though. I think he’d be good playing up front off a target man, such as jason Roberts. But I don’t think Roberto wants to use that system.
Everton upped their game for 10 minutes, after us having all the game, and we paid dearly.
