Club also said in one report he will not be sold to a rival. If he goes it will be to a championship club. Charltons interest also started while we still had Bogle. If he goes we will be ridiculously short squad wise. Unless PC has a striker on his way in there is no way Grigg will be allowed to go. The club is desperate to get back up for the financial rewards championship football brings so why take a massive gamble by letting the top man go. I can fully understand we need to slash the wage bill but to not to the point were your best 2 possibly 3 players leave days before the window closes. Imagine if you purchased a car, a decent spec car with a certain high spec engine and certain tyres…say high spec Continental brand or something like that. Yet when you went to pick up the car and start using it, you noticed the tyres had been changed for cheap budget brands and the engine had been swapped for a 1.3 litre diesel. You’d say “what the feck?” And demand your money back, based on misrepresentation of sale. Wouldn’t you?

There is a big difference between buying a car & supporting a football team & everyone knows that. If we all asked for refunds everytime the club sells a player, wigan athletic FC would have ceased to exist a long time ago.
