Guess where Eric was today?
The Emptyhad watching the ‘Magic Weekend’?….Errr No.
Owd Eric was freeloading at Wembley watching Hull v Arsenal, seems the ‘Magic Weekend’ aint magic enough for Eric, yet he expects the klumps to fork out and trec ‘all the way’ to Manchester to watch the Wurriurs.
You really couldn’t make this shit up.

18 May 2014 at 1:20 pm #131278You really couldn’t make this shit up.You could and you do. Your posts on Wigan today as Haurice Belting are some of the most embarrassing I’ve ever seen. Are you really a middle aged bloke ?
18 May 2014 at 9:15 pm #131291Chairman of Oxford United, maybe has a lot of business interests down there….more a football fan than a rugby fan. Saw him at Loftus Road after we’d lost at QPR in the league game
18 May 2014 at 9:26 pm #131292Makes me cringe when some fans called Whelan,I would not like Lennigun has Wigan Ath Chairman no thanks. ;)

Yes Whelan misses games, usually when he’s sunning himself in Barbados. Since there isn’t an equivalent in football to the “magic” weekend it’s difficult to make a comparison. However, I don’t remember Whelan ever being seen at another sporting event when Wigan Athletic were competing in a “prestigious” event.
19 May 2014 at 2:09 pm #131311As the Chairman of a club in the football league he will no doubt have been given freebies and opted to go there instead. Don’t really see the issue.
19 May 2014 at 2:09 pm #131312He missed a cracking game (and win) though.
19 May 2014 at 2:22 pm #131316As the Chairman of a club in the football league he will no doubt have been given freebies and opted to go there instead. Don’t really see the issue.Other than he chose to watch a football match between two clubs he has no connection with rather than be at an important event involving a club he does.
But as you say, not really an issue.

It’s not really an important event though. It’s a league match.
If he had missed the cup quarter final against Castleford then I’d have understood, but he missed a league match.

Not an ordinary league match though was it?
A “Magic” weekend was it not.19 May 2014 at 2:43 pm #131320As the Chairman of a club in the football league he will no doubt have been given freebies and opted to go there instead. Don’t really see the issue.

A “Magic” weekend was it not.[/quote]It’s an ordinary league match. You don’t get any prizes for winning other than the 2 league points.
The ‘event’ is aimed at the fans and nobody else.
