‘It’s an ordinary league match..
Who was the home team? ‘Ordinary’ league matches aren’t ‘ordinarily’ played at a neutral venue.
20 May 2014 at 12:55 am #131337Leeds I believe as they had the home dressing room.
Ok, it was an extra league game. Still nothing special and as a Wigan fan I’m certainly not upset that Lenegan wasn’t there.
20 May 2014 at 1:02 am #131339Dave ‘i would rather watch my team get relegated from Barbados then stay at home and urge the boys on’ Whelan. Glass houses and Pointless subject
20 May 2014 at 1:09 am #131340It must be getting embarrassing for sky and the rugby league. I heard one mon on sky sports news tonight going on about this weekend festival of rugby watched by 60,000 fans. How many games was that covering then?
Now I’ve not watched any of the matches, but seen clips and the Etihad looked desolate. The Millennium Stadium was too big for the occasion, so they tried Murrayfield, which also was far to big for the occasion. Then they tried a stadium half the size of the previous two, The Etihad and that’s too big for the occasion.
Why don’t they just scrap the damn thing, I’m sick of hearing about the price of this and the price of that from chubsters at work today.
Get Leigh Sports village booked for next year and make the crowds look half decent FFS. B)

What a journey!20 May 2014 at 1:19 am #131341And there is the ‘old chestnut’ Attendances. Again glass houses and a futile argument. The obsession Latics fans have about Rugby is just embarrassing. Claiming not to be bothered but talking about them all the time. Some folk can’t deal with jealousy though. On no Warriors board do you see a football thread. Apart from the well wishers in the F.A Cup final. Infiltrated with sad, bitter middle aged men this board. The pointless hatred for all things Rugby will soon cease when you all get too old to bother any more.

Or, Dave ‘I am a 77 years old millionaire with property in Barbados and I would rather be there than listen to the whinging, ungrateful gobshites that criticise me and my best players every other bloody week’ Whelan.

Nah. You don’t get out of it that easily

I’m in mi fifties and really hope to see the demise of rugby league so I can die a happy chap. Bitter? yes! sad? no! ask the majority of the middle aged men who support the tics.
There’s only on set of supporters who are jealous and they are lodgers at the DW pal. It’s not pointless hatred, cos it makes me feel fekin beltin.

Does this mean that your feeling for Roberto has changed?
Are there any more relationships that you would like to confess to?

Likewise, if anyone is found to be a Latics fans on their boards, they are instantly banned and all their posts are deleted.
And don’t make out the animosity is all Latics against Wigan RL.
Wigan RL even mention the Latics in at least one song (Take Me Home Wigan Road).

The site admin is a Latics fan :)
20 May 2014 at 7:06 pm #131361The threads are deleted for the simple reason that it’s a Wigan RL board where they wish to discuss Wigan RL.
This is a Wigan Athletic board where those that claim not to care/know anything about rugby seem to know results/attendances/news stories as soon as they happen and wish to discuss them at length while turning topics about Wigan Athletic into bickering contests or ignoring them completely.
I would quite happily ban all rugby talk on here even as a rugby fan because maybe then we would discuss WAFC.

I agree with you there egg, but if that doesn’t happen, removing your offensive strap line, avatar and username would be a start.
Why don’t you put your money where your mouth is and make a stand to show your allegiance to Latics whilst on the Latics forum.20 May 2014 at 11:11 pm #131365Why is his strap line offensive?
And, unlike the RL board, we have this non-football part of the board. That’s their choice – this is ours.
If you don’t like it, don’t read it. Stick to the Football Forum. I, and the other moderators, will move anything non-football off the football board when we see them.
I personally am no fan fan of rugby (mainly because I find it boring rather than anything deeper), but have no problem with others being supporters of both.
