What a journey!2 September 2015 at 1:23 am #144541Fryer fryer pants on fire!
2 September 2015 at 12:07 pm #144543OK, now the dust has settled, 2 squads of 19 there.
Who wins in a one of game?
I’d have to say the lads who have left, comfortably, as long as it was Delort and Riera up top, Tavs and Wags anywhere ;)
2 September 2015 at 12:28 pm #144544Oh Aye. With 8 goals in 64 appearances between them am sure the goals would be flying in!
2 September 2015 at 4:57 pm #144545Here’s a few flying in big un, just for fun
2 September 2015 at 5:34 pm #144550All horses look fast passing trees!
2 September 2015 at 5:40 pm #144551Sorry I couldn’t only come up with goals against Atletico Madrid and Marseille for the foreign lads BIGUN :(
2 September 2015 at 5:44 pm #144552Tez, you can put as many videos as you want up, but there is no escaping the fact that none of them impressed in the limited time they had on the pitch.
They weren’t good enough last season, and I didn’t have too much confidence they would be up to it this season.
If I had to be pushed though, I would have chosen to have kept Waghorn over the rest, as at least he appeared to know that the idea was to get the round thing between them white things and into the netting that hung from them.
2 September 2015 at 6:08 pm #144553Sorry Horc, I was just having a bit of fun with Biglad in answer to this

Since they left the goals have been flying in which sort of answers your own question why they didn’t do it here and are doing it versus some of the powerhouses of European football.
Anyway why the long face Horse I mean Horc?
2 September 2015 at 6:13 pm #144554Never saw enough of any of them to even judge if they would be as good or worse than what we have now but we got shut of them all for one reason Tez and that is pay structure. They were on Championship salaries not third tier salaries. One thing though they may have given us a few more goals if given regular football or had a strike partner, so thank goodness Gary has identified this and is trying to amend the situation.
2 September 2015 at 6:17 pm #144555these players where never given a chance messed about ,point being and most people ignore the fact whelan after winning the FA cup and nothing else on his mind but to wind the club down and flog everything he could…he is stuck with the club nobody wants to buy some will say bllx but the proof is there for all to see….remember the plans for a so called new training ground bet their will be houses built on that land mark my words :P
2 September 2015 at 6:21 pm #144556Yep they were on Championship salaries when we were in the Championship that can’t be denied. Pity we aren’t still there with them but decisions were made early, early, earlier than I’ve ever quite seen before to get rid and prepare for our fate.
As it happens we have a good looking squad now with some young uns for the future so the future is bright and the manager seems brighter than a few we’ve had before him. Pity he wasn’t at the helm with the Championship players on Championship wages in the Championship. I doubt Fortune would have been on his jack for 75% of the season if he had been.
2 September 2015 at 11:10 pm #144557It would be interesting to know just how many players have left since the summer we left the greed league and also how many have also arrived. Next would be the number who have both arrived and left. May explain in part the rapid decline. Stability and consistency are what we need now but if by January if we are looking to be in a dodgy position who is to say there will not be another mass clear out to prepare for the fourth tier. I don’t think this will happen but who knows anything can happen. Grigg and Davies loaned out, others loaned and sold. It has happened before not too long ago.

Flying in? Are they really? Riera scored 4 goals in 21 games after leaving us last season, Delort 2 in 14. At a goal to games ratio of one every six games I guess it’s a small improvement on what they managed for us in the Championship!
3 September 2015 at 3:23 am #144564I cant wait for Haris Vuckic to be let loose on League One.
He scored more or less a goal every other game for Rangers last season in the championship.
Now some posters on here think that the Scottish championship is a higher standard of football than League one in England, therefore expect a goal a game from the lad when he is unleashed. B) :lol:From Matlock to ManU
