Mackay released him, and he only officially re-signed on 01/06/2015 after the end of the season when Gary Caldwell offered him a new deal.
So he was released but stayed and played to the end of the season or did his contract expire at the end of May?

These Bolton rejects is salt in the wounds. Is this mon any better than Leon Clarke?
Burton-upon-Trent born Davies began his career at Manchester City but had to drop into the Football League to get his career started, where he has enjoyed spells at Oxford United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Oldham Athletic, Stockport County, Brighton & Hove Albion, Yeovil Town, Port Vale, Chesterfield, Barnsley, Preston North End and Bolton. He even spent one season at Verona in Italy.
Cheers La. Just wondered thats all why he was being classed as a signing. I reckon this group is coming together as a Div 1 squad, hopefully with the ability to keep us up. Wouldn’t yet get too exicited about going up and the hundred point thing but let us see when the pre season three stage plan is over and we get down to it.
