Certainly the worst keeper to play in the Premiership this season by quite some way.

Myhill looked world class by comparison, and he’s Hulls second choice keeper!

Amazing comparison that… Considering Myhill is their first choice Keeper and he didn’t even play today. Duke was in their net!
So which ever way you spin it, both of Hulls keepers are significantly better than Stojkovic.

As a team we aren’t good enough to accomodate even a couple of players who are off the Premiership pace.

Gomez once again showed a couple of flicks but had no influence on the game, while Scotland fluffed his chance in front of goal.
Did you even watch the game? You didn’t even know who was in the net and was comparing our keeper to one who wasn’t on the field (Myhill).
Gomez did OK overall and Scotland is still nowhere near good enough. Yet again Sinclair wasn’t given enough time to make an inpact.

Not done anything wrong this match. Actually I like him to be honest! and he clattered one of them men..wouldn’t see Kirkland doing that.

Oooh, Jimmy – can’t defend that comment, matey. He was/is woeful.

As for No1Fan slagging off Gomez and Scotland later on in the thread – get off the “can’t be @rsed learning about football so I’ll just slag off the same people that everyone else does” bandwagon.

Scotland is so far out of his depth it’s untrue, you could pluck any number of players from the lower divisions and they’d do as good a job.

As for Gomez, the opposition must love playing againt him, he’ll perform the odd flick, but can be eased out of 90% of the game.

If we’d relied upon players such as these two, rather than bringing in the likes of Caldwell and McCarthy, we would have gone down this season.

Today was another example of a couple of sub standard players dragging down the performance of the whole team down.

Gomez has been disappointing, I’ll give you that, but there’s a player in there trying to get out.

You are seriously blaming Scotland for “dragging us down” today when he played for 11 minutes?

You’re not really even worth a reply, son. Try to think for yourself instead of listening to the other gobshytes around you.

On the Gomez front, as the second half started, within 52 seconds he had given the ball away and a free kick. He needs sending to play 5-a-side in the soccerdome over the summer to get some lumps kicked out of him and toughened up.

Griff griff griff. If I am completely honest, I know you are right  I did post it before the 2nd goal went in (I think).. He needs to stop punching it and parrying it! Think he could be good if he stopped doing that, Like Gomes off of Tottenham is now.

Completely agree with your next post… There is a player there in Gomez.. I like him and have no idea whatsoever why!! At the moment I think he is a ‘luxury’ (If i can use that word) that we cannot afford to carry in the team just now. When we are more solid we can have a creative player like him in there..But for the moment we need players that will battle. Just hope he keeps hold of Gomez, as I think he will come good. :)

You must enjoy playing devils advocate, there’s no other explanation.

Stojkovic’s antics in goal, and Gomez’s ineffectual performance, were two of the major contributing factors in us being over run by a poor Hull side, both of which could have been predicted before a ball was kicked.

Youngsters like McCarthy and Moses give their all, producing game changing moments. Meanwhile Gomez saunters around, losing the ball at will, in what could well be his one chance to guarantee a place in Latics plans for next season.

As for Scotland, he only made a fleeting appearance, but was as anonymous as ever.

As I stated above, we have been found out everytime Stojkovic, Gomez or Scotland have been given a major role to play this season, the excuses have to stop, other players have stepped upto the mark when asked.

You mention moses there I see…But he was quite poor today to be honest. Gomez played a couple of balls through that could have easily led to chances. I think that he will be good someday, for Wigan. Scotland is way out of his depth..that is fact.

Kicking is awful, shot stopping wasn’t great either and for some reason he trested the ball as if it were a piping hot potato, has nobody taught him to catch?
