If we take 20k then that will be ok. Not great but a lot better than the misery figures of 13k or 15k that were being banded around recently.
Looks like Millwall could get another 10k tickets then?
We won’t take 20k. And so what?
There are plenty on here who go mad about the media’s apparent dislike of Wigan because we are a “small club”. But some make excuses for a poor turnout to convince themselves it is ok?
Regardless of what some people say on here, if we took only 15k the media would have a field day.

Then I suggest you get prepared for a media field day, if that sort of thing bothers you.
The figure was (as of last Monday evening after 2 days of general sale) around the 19k mark.
This has been mentioned a few times now.
What’s your source for this?
I know a guy who works for the club. Friends with my old man. He was convinced we would sell 90% of our allocation but says there’s more than he expected giving it a miss.
I would imagine every ST holder will get one. I was given a number on Saturday but it differs slightly to that that Jay has given but lets just say the number of fans I’ve been telling you all we have for years is about right.
whats the figure?
Less than that quoted on here. I’m presuming it is tickets sold through the ticket office only as opposed to including those sold to players families and sponsors etc.

no one is near the mark.very good source from inside the club told me as of yesterdays close of ticket office.we had sold 14,274.this includes 6 sold yesterday.
so if we do get to the final, where are we going to get another 10,000 fans from to sell those.

Your good source is wrong :P on both counts, we have certainly pushed through the 15k barrier but I’ll let you dwell on when, and one phone call alone was for 15 tickets yesterday.

If it is close to 20k then nothing to worry about. That aint too bad a figure for a semi.
No bad press is a positive step for our little club me thinks?

We’ve nothing to worry about anyway.
If we win, then who cares how many we took?
Doubt there’ll be many off here crying themselves to sleep Saturday night thinking, “Yes we’re in the final, but we only took 15,000… waaaah” :( :( :(
And what if we did take LOADS?
Do you think the media & football world will love us all of a sudden..?
Will the bad press disappear?
They’d just change their jibes from “Wigan have no fans” to “Look at all these glory hunting day trippers in the Wigan end. Where are they at their home games?! LOL”.
We can’t win either way – that’s the way it is.
We’re Wigan, bad press/feeling comes our way and we laugh it off.. surely you’re used to it by now?
Stop worrying about the f*cking crowd and focus on what’s important – THE RESULT.
