When I look at Fylde website and it is coming up with stuff like this, I can’t help but think it is being quite disrespectful to Latics.
http://www.afcfylde.co.uk/coasters-odds-betfred/
I hope Paul Cook shows this to the lads before the game and we make sure its us who go into round 3.
I get that most neutrals will be gunning for an upset, heck, we’ve been the minnow enough times in the past. But I don’t ever recall us being so cocky about it.
Their decision to make Bradleys Sport’s Bar at the ground, home supporters only, disappoints me. Most non league clubs would welcome the opportunity to make some money. If they had bought a load of pies in and done “pie and a pint £5” they would have absolutely coined it in.They definitely have a cockiness about them. Hope we go and steamroller them. 3 nil at half time and 6 nil final score.
29 November 2017 at 2:34 pm #163721I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
They are sponsors, and they will plug the team they are sponsoring.
But they are bookies – and the more people they can persuade to bet on Fylde the better for them. They know what they’re doing ;)29 November 2017 at 3:25 pm #163722I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

29 November 2017 at 5:54 pm #163725I don’t see anything cocky or disrespectful in the article you liked to VAT.
As for making the bar home supporters only – to me that looks more like that they have limited capacity, need to cut down demand for it (so less queues & possibly aggro in said queues) & they know they can fill it to capacity with home fans anyway
29 November 2017 at 6:44 pm #163728Its a big sports bar and I think they will be disappointed as you will get a lot who have jumped on the bandwagon for this game probably not being of that ilk, where as targetting Wiganers at “pie and pint for £5” wouldve been snapped up, I’m sure.
Doesnt really bother me because I don’t drink anyway.
I just want us to absolutely smash these. Ive no room for “lets not embarrass them”. Balls to that! Lets not embarrass ourselves. Thats all that matters.
29 November 2017 at 6:58 pm #163731What have Fylde done to upset you Vat? Been pretty critical of them since the draw.

Annoyed me as well how theyve kind of been dismissive of the fact we are taking an away following as big as their average attendance, and yet told not welcome in their supposedly decent and large sport’s bar. There are non league clubs out there that would have thrown the welcome mat out and took advantage by being more hospitable and welcoming. I also emailed them very politely about parking advice, and got no response. They just come across as being a bit too cocky for my liking. Hope we stuff them good and proper. Play the full team and do it.
29 November 2017 at 11:10 pm #163737Maybe the police have told them not to let us in as they expecting a big crowd? We wouldnt let Utd fans in our large sports bar if we drew them.

And we gladly let away fans into the Marquee.
30 November 2017 at 1:49 am #163746The marquee is THEIR bar. We wouldn’t let them in OUR bar so why should Fylde let us in theirs?
30 November 2017 at 2:05 am #163747Because most non league clubs would be grateful for the money they would make.
No, theyll have PNE and Blackpool cling ons instead.
Can we stuff these yokels please?
30 November 2017 at 6:20 am #163748But Dave, isn’t that exactly the Johnny-big-whatsits approach that we hated about other teams when we were in the Prem?
“We’re [insert name of “big” club here] – we will bring you huge crowds – you ought to be grateful for us to come along and spend money in your ground – because you’re a nothing little club with United and Liverpool fans as hangers on”?30 November 2017 at 10:40 am #163749But Dave, isn’t that exactly the Johnny-big-whatsits approach that we hated about other teams when we were in the Prem?
“We’re [insert name of “big” club here] – we will bring you huge crowds – you ought to be grateful for us to come along and spend money in your ground – because you’re a nothing little club with United and Liverpool fans as hangers on”?It just disappoints me because a lot of other non league clubs wouldve been a bit more open and looking to make some money out of us. I suppose its a sad indictment of the modern game, when a non league club that is quite young in its existance, doesnt feel it has to do that, due to it having a financial backer.
Hey, I’ve nothing against Fylde and wish them well after Friday. I just hope we go and show our quality in getting the job done.

Not really, so dont be a bell.
I hope we hammer them. And then I wish them well for the rest of the season. Capichè? I dont not dislike, nor like them. They are an hurdle we have to face. Thats all.
I wonder if their manager will have taught them the art of the long throw. Thats one for the stalwarts…..
