If you read this in Ian Holloway’s voice, it will probably be funnier….
Listen, we ARE the shock in waiting in this second round. The Goliath waiting to be sleign by David, the Oasis waiting to be knocked off the top of the charts by Gareth Gates.
We SHOULD have enough to get the result, but apart from Wigan Athletic supporters, everybody will be gunning for a Fylde win and our lads can’t stroll about on a jolly, thinking “we are all billy big bolls”. I can’t see Cooky letting that happen. I just hope we go full strength, are clinical, and end up with people saying “well, their class showed”. The majority disappointed, and the Latics in round 3.
Its like a school disco. We are the year 5 head boy, decent at sports, prefect badges galore and a top student with decent grades and potential. Fylde are like a flirty third year, quite well developed for her age and made up to look better than she is. Sticks a new dress on and dolls herself up and fancies a crack at this head boy. He quite likes her too but doesnt want the stick off his pals. He’s in there, its a chance Andy Cole couldn’t miss, but it up to him how he acts and whether he makes the move and gets a successful night out of it, or acts like Simon off the Inbetweeners and gets blown out and embarrassed.Gut instinct? We will win by 4 goals or more. Its time for Wigan Athletic to be party poopers.
30 November 2017 at 5:19 pm #163763What have Fylde done to upset you Vat? Been pretty critical of them since the draw.
Just the odd thing on their website and that. Annoyed me as well how theyve kind of been dismissive of the fact we are taking an away following as big as their average attendance, and yet told not welcome in their supposedly decent and large sport’s bar. There are non league clubs out there that would have thrown the welcome mat out and took advantage by being more hospitable and welcoming. I also emailed them very politely about parking advice, and got no response. They just come across as being a bit too cocky for my liking. Hope we stuff them good and proper. Play the full team and do it.[/quote]
They’ve got to big it up VAT as if not what would be the point of their fans turning up.
Funnily enough I used the old fashioned method of communication and rang the club about parking. The chap was very helpful, but couldn’t help get the impression he was the only one working there…. he probably wasn’t up to speed with modern technologies like email :blink:30 November 2017 at 10:54 pm #163771What have Fylde done to upset you Vat? 1 December 2017 at 12:03 am #163773You dont drink vat. Why are you bothered about the bar?
Im a p***pot and its not bothered me..
1 December 2017 at 1:07 am #163774My last comment was in jest, Eggman
1 December 2017 at 1:41 am #163775Serious question VAT – if we drew AFC Bournemouth, Swansea or Huddersfield at home in the next round, would you expect the club to bend over backwards to accommodate the premier league opponents, offering their fans the opportunity to drink in the South Stand?
1 December 2017 at 1:41 am #163776What about the other 55?

He doesn’t drink yet has a username the same as a well known blended whiskey! It’s akin to someone with the username ‘Stoner Head’ saying they don’t smoke pot! :P
1 December 2017 at 3:30 am #163782Bollox to what Fylde are doing or saying we need a cup run to bring in vital revenue. Full strength and win comfortably.

My point is, you’d expect a non league club to take the chance to rake in some cash whilst theyve got the chance. As Ive said before, personally I dont drink so Im not bothered anyway.

No, I dont drink. I used to. However a year ago I decided I cant be arsed drinking anymore. Im not exactly teetotal, if I was abroad in Prague or somewhere, Id have a few beers. But as in a general thing Ive no need to. And as I am driving a lot with my kids, I dont get the chance. I am not someone who needs, or wants to drink a lot. Rare occasions, if you like.

You sound like the nan off Royle Family. “I don’t drink. Just a Sherry at Christmas, Champage at weddings, bottle of stout before bed”

If we draw Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool or Everton at home in the next round, would you be happy if we gave them the North and East Stands to ensure maximum revenue and a full house?
You seem to think we have a God-given right to have our backsides licked by Fylde and they should feel not worthy of our presence. Perhaps its you that is not giving AFC Fylde respect – I just hope Cookie isn’t thinking that way!

I hope we steamroller em 6 nil and then wish them all the best for the rest of the season. Thats all I’m bothered about. 5 words.
Wigan Athletic in Round Three.

Ok, I’ll answer that. But you wont like it.
If Wiganers cant fill the seats, then yes, I’d have no problems with what you suggest. The apathy from the locals is an absolute disgrace. Although if we had such a fixture, you can bet that there would suddenly be an increased interest from certain locals.
