Griffy, Mr ‘I AM WIGAN’ is actually nothing more than the original ‘JCL’. Preaches on here to one and all, yet truth be known, he’s swapped sides more times than an Italian.
I suspected it all along, to be honest. Sudden interest when we got promoted. I wonder if the interest will wane, when we get relegated? No wonder you always play the ‘calmness’ card…..you know you can just find another team to follow!

And, at the risk of being accused of being Griff’s batman again, I don’t think JCL is the right phrase for someone who started watching the club in 1978.

As you’ll remember from the original thread, months ago, I played Saturday football from 1988-1997. Hardly watched any football at all during that period. I’ll re-post that paragraph later if it helps.
But still supported Latics at that time.

How did you do that? If you never went and never paid a dime into the club? Your definition of support must differ from mine.
How convenient that it coincided with some of our toughest times ever, yet you decided to come back when we won the Third Division title in 1997, eh? It’s all falling into place nicely now. No excuses. You can tell yourself that you stayed away because you played football, but in truth you stayed away because we were shyte.

Stop being awkward.
He joined the bandwagon in 1978, because we suddenly had some success, and jumped off when times got hard.
Jumped on again in 1997, when we won the 3rd division. Conveniently missing the hard years of the late 80’s and early to mid 90’s.
I said he was ‘the original JCL’. Capiché? :think:

So, back to the original question…. where have said that I do/have ever supported Bolton?
If we are throwing accusations about was Dave from Skem not swapping shirts on the previous CL forum on Rivals from the Tics to Everton the last time he thought we were going down :o
And it began very much in the same manner slagging all posters off untill he vent that much anger he busted a bloodvessell and scurried off for a while .Only to reappear in different guises a bit like he’s doing now
