I don’t have a problem with womens football, I just don’t like the way it is promoted to be this fantastic spectacle
You could say that about football in general the majority of the time.
Seems the Scottish women come home after a week as well like the men do. Well, the men dont go most times.The mens team wouldn’t qualify if they gave away tickets in packs of crisps.
Cannot agree in any way shape or form that women’s football is Sunday league standard horc. I ran a Sunday league side who was successful and once went the season unbeaten. Many of our lads also played for Nuneaton Griff fc who were in the Midland Combination so were decent level players. There is no way we ever reached the level of play the lionesses have already shown at the world cup. The one aspect that is poor has been our finishing and we should have thrashed both the sweaties and Argies. The build up play and passing has at times been brilliant. Do yourself a favour lad and watch the next game v Japan and you may just be surprised .

Pretty poor performance tonight by the lionesses and they still won. Passing was way off and against a very dangerous and skillful side in Japan. Top of the group and play on Sunday in the last 16. Here’s hoping for a decent run for the girls.

Disgraceful showing by Cameroon against the girls. I’ve never seen such poor behaviour on a football field. Norway on Thursday in the quarter finals next for the lionesses.
How did their captain stay on the field?The horror tackle on Steph Houghton could have ended her career and then for the silly bitch Cameroon captain to scream abuse at Steph while still on the floor was unbelievable. At least 3 of them should have been sent off during the game and if you watched it Tyldesley I would love to hear your take on it coz like I said I’ve never witnessed behaviour like that before.
Semi finals for our fabulous girls. Gonna be really tough against the Yanks or Kermits but we live in hope.
