Beat the heathen fookers and to be honest should have embarrassed them. Some decent football and a surprise to see how skillful the women’s game has progressed. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will be following our girls throughout the tournament.

I agree on the equal pay though. Annoys me in sports like tennis especially. The womens finalist last year played less tennis in the whole tournament than one of the mens semi finals.

I have many females in my life dnr, none of which have taken the route to become professional footballers, albeit my 87 year old mother would probably walk into one or two of the teams on show in France.
I don’t have a problem with womens football, I just don’t like the way it is promoted to be this fantastic spectacle when it is no better than Sunday League standard.
The amount of coverage it gets in the media (BBC mainly) is bordering on the ridiculous, it is blown out of proportion and totally out of context with its popularity.

They probably are SSB, but that wouldn’t be hard to be fair and it wouldn’t make them worth watching.
I read an article on the equal play in tennis subject, it was interesting. If u just look at the time spent on court it is clear that the men play more, but if u take the training, coaching, travel, which is all part of being a pro then the differential is less. My view? U should get what you are worth, if u do the same job in a bank there is no justification for unequal pay, when it comes to tv revenue for sport it is as different thing all together. The tricky one with tennis is that they sell the rights to Wimbledon as an overall package and don’t sell the women and men separately so that becomes tricky to prove the differential.
As much as the BBC force it down our throats, the fact that the coverage was hosted by a bunch of women and the tall bloke from Homes under the Hammer, rather than a World Cup Golden Boot winner & the Premier League record scorer tells me that it is (and always will be) a 2nd rate event.

To use your bank analogy, its like doing the same job for am extra 2 days a week and getting the same pay.
