Forgot to mention this, (just in case some worryers whopper says they took 17k to the etihad)!
Wigan Warriors have received an initial allocation of 1,700 tickets for The Magic Weekend 2013, to take place at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester. These are a combination of tickets for the full weekend’s fixtures along with day tickets for the Sunday only, which features the Leeds Rhinos vs. Wigan Warriors fixture at 7.30pm.
4 December 2012 at 11:02 am #97652The season hasnt started and its over 5 months away to that fixture, so I hardly imagine any club’s supporters will be stampeding to the ticket office for tickets.
How many of your “Loyal” fans will be buying tickets for the oldest knockout cup fixture in the world next month?
4 December 2012 at 2:20 pm #97661I’m not sure you’re the right person to be preaching of loyalty. Speaking of the Magic (sic) weekend, why is it that Warriors included last years attendance of thirty odd thousand (spread over three matches and six teams) in their average home attendance figure?
4 December 2012 at 4:48 pm #97680I think all teams do it as its not classed as an away game and thats how the money is divided
4 December 2012 at 6:32 pm #97690Why don’t they go the whole hog and include the Challenge Cup Final and Grand Final?
But even if that is the reason, how can every team be allowed to include 30,000 plus in their average? Surelt it should be divided by 6, therefore an attendance of 5’000 plus should be taken into their averages. As it stands almost 200,000 people are being counted.
4 December 2012 at 9:23 pm #97696Rather like you lot love to include all the away fans and the freebies when you are bigging up your 19,000+ crowds.

Not sure how many they count but I don’t think they count all 30k each.

It depends on the price of ticket LOTP it could well challenge the massive 6000 for your play off game with any luck btw not many renewed for the 2013 Souper leek season eh just under 8000 are you one btw

5 December 2012 at 3:06 pm #97734Who was that brain dead peanut hugging idiot on Talk Sport yesterday afternoon attempting to tell some anecdote about high jinx in a hotel room ? It was embarrassing listening to him stumble through the unfunny tale of egg chasing Tomfoolery !
